Has anyone seen this woman/is this woman in their memories?



[ the picture in question is a rather beautifully made sketch of the woman in front of an old victorian mirror and brushing her hair as the drawing; some might recognize the art style. ]


I just remembered this a little while ago and it isn’t mine, there’s no familiarity to it like the other ones and it’s a completely different person.

I don’t know how much of a problem this could be from Retrospec’s part, so has anyone else gotten memories from more than one person, or memories that aren’t from the same ones you’ve been getting?

Take this with a grain or two of salt, since I am not a therapist by any means, but it's something that's been known to happen. Someone just shuts off part of their memory for any number of reasons. Often it's trauma, but it doesn't necessarily have to be, either.

But it . . . feels dislocated to say it’s me. I’d need to figure out more about her.

To say the least. This exhaustion runs deep. I don't doubt a lot of us feel the same.

Or I'm just particularly feeble.

I wouldn’t say that. All of us just react to things differently.
And some jobs don’t really let you think about it too long to stay tired. Either that or I’m just not feeling it yet.

Well you, in particular, seem much more able to handle this level of activity. Were you in the military?

I don’t really like staying put to start. But I’ve been in the Air Force since last year.

Well then there's no doubt you have more physical discipline than I do, at least.

It’s part of the job. Are you a full time artist?

[liberal_arts]

Artist, art dealer, patron representative services, all of that. The full spectrum of creative business.

You do commissions too?

If the project sparks my interests.
