My eBay account got suspended.

I have not used eBay in awhile so I guess I don't know the proper protocol for someone outbidding you for a cursed doll. Cursed with either a violent curse or a child's soul. The seller didn't specify.

It is not proper etiquette to e-mail the person you were bidding against and ask them to sell it to you rather than use it for their BuzzFeed article. Or let them be aware that you were honestly hoping it had some soul trapped in it to give it to friends in the hope that it will come to life in the middle of the night to do whatever cursed dolls do.

Who knew. I thought we were both cursed doll enthusiasts.

If what Retrospec says is correct, we're proof enough. But I think that leaves quite a bit up to interpretation.

What proof do you have?

I can physically touch the soul.
I'm not sure how I feel about it, however.
It's magic that allows for healing.
And it is a complete healing.
Not even a scar remains.
However, the soul rejects being touched, too.
Because ... of course, it would.

Obviously something like that is difficult to take at face value, so I'd like to see for myself.

It can heal the body through touching the soul.
It can let a person like me touch a spirit.
Yet I recognize myself as a false healer due to being neither divine nor righteous.

Isn't interesting that you can, theoretically, perform these tasks anyway? Doesn't that speak more about yourself?

I suppose that depends on the real extent of this ability and its origin. Some might consider it a blessing. And if anyone is really infringing on the powers of God, it's Retrospec.

This is all purely hypothetical, of course.

Of course.

Retrospec is only giving us back what we acquired back in another life. Our past selves are just as to blame, and we are as well, if we decide to use these powers.

What do you think, then, of our past selves? Are they truly us? Are they to be emulated?

For me, I believe he is me.
I cannot dismiss his existence.
I have chosen to accept him.
So that is what I think.
But for others, if they do not wish to accept their other selves, I won't denounce them.
No, I won't.
Not unless they had said they would accept them and then decide against it.
