[ good evening, recolle! more often than not, there are radio broadcasts played in the city, like any regular old radio station, but this one is a little unique. there's a jingle, and then a cheery voice comes over the speaker first-- ]

Good ~ evening, Recolle! ♫ This is everyone’s niichan, Nazuna Nito, your evening emcee, coming to you live with a special Retrospec edition of Niichan’s Advice Corner! [ nazuna hits a soundboard button to play a cheerful ring of bells. ] In honor of our special Retrospec episode, today, I’m joined by a very special guest!

[ in the studio, he tilts his head towards makoto! go for it, makochin! ]

[Makoto messes with the end of his t-shirt while he calms his nerves. When Nazuna gestures towards him, he clears his throat and leans towards the mic. Okay, he can do this! He can do this!] Hello everyone! My name is Makoto Yuuki! I’m going to be joining Niichan in his advice corner today! [He looks over at the soundboard when he presses the button to play a messenger jingle.]

Makochin is new to the program, and studying broadcasting at Recolle U. I picked him to help me for a reason, and I’m sure he’ll impress you!~ [ nazuna sounds like he has the utmost confidence in makoto, too! ] Why don’t you tell them what we’re going to be doing today, Makochin?

[Makoto is a little embarrassed about it being announced on the air. It’s fine. He’s going to do his best!] Today we’re going to be taking questions and giving answers on topics you guys give us! Don’t hesitate to call and let us know what’s on your mind!

Th~at’s right. [ nazuna leans back into the mic to speak again: ] For those of you that have never listened, it’s my job as everyone’s favorite niichan to give you all the best, big brotherly advice you might have never had! Between the two of us, we’ll help all of your woes to the best of our abilities--school, love life, friends, work, anything!-- and put a smile on your face! ♫ If you’d rather respond through text, you can send me or Makochin a private message, and we’ll give you a fake name when we read your questions out loud. No matter how difficult--I love a challenge.

No question is too big or too small, we’ll answer them all! Don’t worry your name is safe with us~

[ It seems like Nazuna really likes this question, or really likes the idea of helping. Either way, it is entertaining, isn't it? ]

I would answer it. But, so few people ever call me, I would assume it was important. [ He enjoys the way that "Nii-chan" thinks, however. Which means that he may be able to ask the right series of questions, then, won't he? Well. ]

... that said, is there someone that Nii-chan would hang up the phone for?

[ deflects like the tennis captain ~~in canon~~ he truly is ] Hey, hey, this isn't about Niichan! I'm supposed to be giving you advice, Keisan.

[ but, he definitely likes the idea of helping. what an excellent distraction to a question he doesn't really want to answer. ] Whether there is or not, don't worry, I can give advice ~ I'm an expert on plenty of topics. ♪

You can do both, can you not?

[ He chuckles a little and there is a nod almost felt before he speaks. ] What other topics are you an expert on?

Sure, sure ~ I don't have anything exciting in that department, though. You know how busy I am! [ that is an absolute lie, but nazuna breezes through it like it's normal, laughing on his end as if he's waving it off.

he's grateful for the topic change. ] Hmm... school, work, family, Retrospec, I guess... all kinds of things! I'm putting all my experience as a big brother in life to good use.

I do know how busy you are. And so I feel like asking, as I also have a busy schedule at times... can you tell me how to remain well-rested while constantly on the go?

[ Big brother, again, huh? ] Oh. Actually, a second question. What are... teenagers into nowadays? I realize my nephew's birthday may eventually be coming up and I should get him something. A surprise sounds best, since I feel he has rarely been surprised. And I am very close to putting a live snake in a box, so it would be best if I had some suggestions instead.

[ nazuna laughs a little on his end, sheepish. ] To be honest, I'm still trying to figure that one out myself. I used to rely on coffee, but my friend told me that drinking coffee can stunt your growth, so I've laid off... I honestly just work until I get tired, and then fall asleep! ♫ [ that is super unhealthy nazuna but you know what, it's fine. ]

Teenagers are a little out of my age range, but... hmm. [ tapping his chin thoughtfully on his end. ] My two closest siblings are both teenagers. The third oldest one is especially hard to buy for, because his interests are always changing... but last year I got him a ticket to a baking class, and he seemed to really like that. I think experiences are always a really valuable gift!

Does that help a little, Keisan~?

You're too young to be working yourself like that, Niichan. [ Yet there is some mild amusement mixing in with the slight disapproving tone. ] Allow us adults who have no sense of self preservation carry on with such foolishness.

[ There is a longer pause. Wait, how old is Mizuki Sena? When Kei looks at him, he thinks older teenager. But is that actually right? This seems like something I should have asked my nephew. ]

My nephew is a model. I feel if I were to buy him baking classes that he'll think I'm bullying him. [ A pause. ] Maybe I'll have them be dessert classes...

Mmn. That does help me out a lot, actually.

[ Satan. No. ]

I'm an adult too, you know! [ he's twenty one whole years old okay!! twenty two in two weeks!! ]

Most of the models I know won't eat much dessert. [ he laughs! nazuna definitely didn't... he wasn't even allowed to. ] Maybe a healthier food cooking class, or something? Learning how to roll sushi? Something like that! I know one model in particular who is a really amazing cook, and might appreciate it.

[ ... ] He's a little scary in the kitchen, but his skills have always been impressive.

Mmn. [ There is the sound of doubt. ] All the same, I think it is all right to slack off here and there. Your youth is your youth, isn't that right? You don't want to end up my age and come to realize that you've spent your entire time running yourself ragged.

[ A soft chuckle with a soft "eh" that follows. ]

Do you know a lot of models? I must say that I don't beyond my nephew, but given the restaurant that I own... it's only natural. It is not the place most models would want to visit. [ Kei decides not to say that is why he would have Mizuki be part of a dessert class. It just would be some light bullying. ]

Is that so? [ Ah. ] Anyway, won't that add to some appeal? The idea that this model actually creates pastries, as well. Men and women like that sort of thought, is that not so? "Ah, a sweet made from this person. That's just the sort of thing to soothe the weary soul." [ He lightens his tone of voice only slightly, but otherwise has the same neutral sound. ]

Though... to think of Mizuki Sena lovingly making sweets for anyone, I'm afraid I can't quite imagine it. [ He turns his head away from his computer so Nazuna hears a muffled, louder chuckling at the end. ]

[ --!!! ]

Oh, Mizukichin! We actually used to work together, when we were younger! We just keep finding these weird ways we're connected, huh...? He's a little older than a teenager, but, he's just as hard to shop for, so you were definitely on the mark.

[ he breezes right over how they used to work together, too, moving right on. ] Did you know, he's actually an amazing cook. I can't really see him making sweets for anyone, either, but his food is so good. I think an experience like that might be great for him! Or maybe even a craft class, or something like that?

[ Mizukichin? ]

So it would seem. [ Wait, they worked together? Does that mean that Nazuna was also a model? Ah, that would make sense -- and would make sense how he knows so many models now. ] Thank you for taking care of my nephew. It seems only right to say that much on his behalf.

[ Hm? ] I was not unaware he was a cook. He mentioned it to me in passing, but what a surprise! He actually made something for others? And he wasn't fussy about it? I find myself growing prouder and prouder with each passing second.

Ehehe, I wouldn't go that far... [ oh no, he was. definitely fussy. aside from all the yelling and shouting about order and everything, it was a pretty good experience, though. ] He helped me put together a thanksgiving dinner for the dorm I work in. I was really impressed!! We've been friends for a long time, and if anything, I think he's mostly taken care of me.

[ a pause, and then he laughs. ] Mostly.

But! If it's Mizukichin, I definitely think he'd like something more hands on. Maybe he could learn to knit! [ maybe it would fix that personality of his, a new hobby... not that nazuna's going to admit that out loud on the air... ] Though, his birthday's not for a while. I think it's in November!

Mizuki Sena taking care of someone... [ A little more seriously: ] Are you all right?

[ He makes a soft "hm" sound as he moves on. The question sounds like it might be rhetorical. ] In any case, I wasn't actually aware of when his birthday was. I suppose I could have asked him, but such conversation does not come naturally to me. It sounds far too caring and concerned, you see.

But you've helped me out considerably. It seems I won't have to worry about a present for a few months, which gives me more time to think of the best sort to give him. As for you, Niichan, I realize you might not want a reward but a reward is due to you.

[ what is it with this family.

nazuna laughs again, a little sheepishly. ] Ahaha...I was a different person back then, let's just say that! [ sena is so mad at him right now, but at least nazuna's able to share some good feelings about him with kei. ] I really appreciated it, though. He's got a really good heart.

[ which -- speaking of!! a reward?! nazuna flushes on his end. ] --oh, Keisan, please, I'm just doing my job!! I don't need anything like that. Helping you is the best reward I can get!

[ He makes some sort of sound that is concerned. A different person, huh? Is that because of memories, perhaps? ] I see. [ Is what he says, instead. ]

I agree. More and more, I'm proud of him as my nephew. Even I can say that much... though, I do worry. [ Some things are just common sense to worry about, really. ]

Just because you are doing a job doesn't mean that you shouldn't receive something.

[ he'd be really thankful, if he knew kei was letting him move past that.

instead, he sounds pretty warm and fond on his end. ] The best reward I could ever ask for is for my advice to help you just a little! That's all Niichan needs!~

Then, since that is what Niichan needs and wants, I shall say that you've helped me a lot.

I shall be certain to tell Mizuki Sena that you helped, too, when I give him his present. [ There is a dark chuckle that follows. But it is probably Nazuna's imagination? ]

[ WHAT IS WITH THIS FAMILY. ]

Sure, sure! He might get mad though.~ I shouldn't share out his secrets on the radio! Sorry, Mizukichin!

Might be too late for apologies, Niichan.

But then that's my fault, isn't it? I'm sorry.

That just means, for his present, you'll have to be extra creative!
