(no subject)

For those who know Minako Arisato, I spoke to her this morning.
I am not sure what happened, but it seems she no longer has any memory of Retrospec.
And everything she received from Retrospec, including her dog, seems to be gone.
I know she had many friends on this app, so I felt it best to say something.
If anyone knows of someone who has remembered Retrospec again after forgetting it in this way, please share what you know.
I think many of us would like to know.

[ Another one bites the dust, huh? Bakhura supposes he should be used to this by now, and he and Minako weren't especially close, but it's one of the things that has made him hesitant to try to make new friends.

He's not Shadow Gaming anyone, he swears.

What? Dragon girl too?

Maybe one of the fire spirits got her after all, in the end.

...and yeah, I do know of someone like that. Or rather, I did. Her name was Akinobu Taira. She had forgotten about the app for a while before remembering it again, but then she forgot about it again.

I've also known people to forget about the app, only to remember it again but without any memories from their previous experiences with the app. I think it's some kind of glitch, though why some people glitch while others simply forget altogether, I don't know.

That's why Zee's question this month seemed ominous. It's not like they're really interested in our answers, right? Then what was the purpose?

It's something I don't look forward to finding out.

And from what I understand, she also had many friends on this app... there's probably still people out there who might know more than I do about the details, people who were closer to her than I was.

That's probably wise. It was just more non-information and more distractions from whatever it is they're going to pull this month, anyway.

You aren't missing much.

And yeah, Nobu was like that too. Unfortunately, until we know more about how these mind-wipes work, all we can really do is wait and see. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it.

It's probably going to be like the last time they took away colors... and that post was probably supposed to give them an idea of which colors they should break.

And I doubt it.

But I admire your optimism on the matter.

Now that's an interesting way of looking at it.

And neutral colors might be safe, at least. They're technically not colors at all, aren't they?

Neither have I, but I also can't imagine how they could go with every color if they were truly colors themselves.

Magic or really advanced technology, probably... though magic is more likely since there's no logical explanation for anything they've done so far.

[personal profile] hauhra 2018-05-03 05:27 pm (UTC)(link)
So do I.

Magic is a lot less predictable and has far fewer limitations... that's what makes it magic, after all.

[personal profile] hauhra 2018-05-05 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
Exactly. That's what makes it unpredictable, and much more of a threat...

But many people on the network seem to have magic of our own, too. Some might even be powerful enough to combat Retrospec's own. Only time will tell.

What makes you think we don't, though? With so many different worlds to be pulled from, some of us are bound to have been gods in our past lives... it's all just a matter of actually regaining that divinity, really.
