you have a combination of obscure medical conditions in your family tree that you never told him about due to not wanting to worry him, the most significant being that you have difficulty maintaining proper oxygen levels in your blood which makes it appear as dark. it's been developing since you hit your twenties, and you've been receiving treatment to allow you to live a normal life as you please, though the coloring hasn't changed. it's harmless, since it's being monitored, and if he wishes to communicate with a professional, give him my email.

i'll send over a collection of information about the conditions i'm thinking about that you'll need to at least read over if not memorize. emphasize that you know how much he cares and that you didn't want him fussing over you when you've got this managed - make it an issue of your pride in yourself and your wish that he not be stressed.

they're a work in progress, but my office coffee maker is preserved, and that's keeping me sane. you'd think people stopped functioning when the world decided to throw us yet another unwanted curveball. it is rather satisfying to paint all the words i'd love to force retrospec to listen to on the wall and see it come back, however.
