[Instead of dealing with personal crises, it's much easier to deal with global crises. Of course, it's always been this way.
Her name appears in a deep, eggplant purple, like so: Jasmine Geteilt. Assume glitches and messed up text as you like!]
Hello, everyone. The request from Palettes has convinced me that we should restore some order to how we're repainting the town here. Without cooperation, we will fail to succeed and perhaps even lose some things that are important to us in the struggle. I refuse to let that happen.
I have been trying to restore all essential and emergency services, including basic necessities like access to food and medical care. But I get caught up easily in these things, you understand, and so what the rest of the city has been doing has totally passed me by. I don't want anything to slip through our fingers, so please. Call on my for help. Share your thoughts with the rest of this network.
If you are willing, please let us know where you are working. What is completed. What still needs to be done. Surely someone will come to your aid, and if they don't, I'll see to it myself.
Oh. And my paintbrush is colored purple. If you have trouble perceiving color and need a hand with that, someone can help there, too. Though I have chromesthesia, which has made this process slightly difficult.
[Obviously, please feel free to use this post to talk amongst yourselves/to Jasmine to your hearts' content! Threadjack or hit each other up or whatever \o]

I've been through the university district, mostly around the Hills. Got as much of it taken care of as I could on my own, so it started off black and who knows what color it is by now.
Didn't know you had syn. Knew a couple art kids who said they had it and they said it made shit pretty wild. One of 'em told me they thought that Gershwin song had the wrong name.

I do. My perfect pitch is basically all cheating because of that, I suppose. As for the Rhapsody I think your acquaintance was right.
You didn't run into anyone else while you were out there? I'm surprised, given all the students.
no subject
I didn't do it ALL by myself. I just work faster when I'm alone. You know how it is. Besides, why get married to any one color when people are gonna show up and splatter their own paint all over everything I do anyway?

[Remembering those enhanced senses, how they must have been completely overwhelming for the other version of herself... this should be nothing.]
Getting such an independent person to cooperate sure is difficult. The University area must be more or less complete by now. Is there anywhere else you think warrants attention?

Everywhere else? Even going out into Bosuma and those places, from what I've heard. Just because all my shit's in order doesn't mean I want this city to be a mostly empty void for however long it takes the techs to fix it.
I might only be one girl, but I'm done sitting on my ass feeling sorry for myself.

I admit I'm more concerned about making sure everyone here is safe at the bare minimum, but it's no accident that these different areas were connected to the city, either. When it's time, we can go out to one together.
no subject
I'm in. But unless you feel like getting in a fight, maybe we should skip Bosuma. Those flowers do some weird shit with their pollen.

[Wow, that's almost like telling her she trusts her...]
Let's go, then. If you were a commanding officer, I'd rather not end up on the wrong side of your weapon, really. Maybe a trip to the coast is in order, instead.

[she considers that for a second—how much she's gotten used to protecting people, how badly she wanted a sword so she could keep people safe. maybe she and A2 aren't that different?]
I wouldn't mind heading out that way. Shame that we won't be able to see the water, but whatever. Just hit me up whenever you want to get out of here for a bit.

I'm a sort of purple too! If we work together, we can paint things a nice mid-range violet.
So far my biggest projects have been painting the routes from my apartment to the Tea Kittle, and from the Tea Kittle to the university, and from the university to my apartment. Now that those are squared away, I'm kind of just joining in with people at random to paint whatever...
Also, I didn't know you had chromesthesia. (Though I guess there's no real reason it would have come up before...)

Another person working around the University. If we treat it like a hub, we might be able to map out the rest of the city, what remains unpainted, and work from there.
I don't talk about it that often, so I don't think you had any way of knowing. After all, it's just an irritation.
no subject
The fact that painting by ourselves just leaves things vaguely outlined makes this a sort of unusual project. Normally with something like this, we could plan routes so that people worked from opposite ends and met in the middle, but instead we need to work at least in pairs and go the same direction...
I don't know, it's interesting. It's like this particular form of "unreality" was designed by one of those teachers who's always making people work in small groups.
no subject
One person always ends up doing the work for those assignments. Are we more proactive than that? I hope so.
Colors need to be mixed instead of applied separately, too. Is that the message? "Together, we are stronger?"
no subject
I guess. Collaborating...
It's nice to be able to work together with friends, but it's irritating not to be able to do much by ourselves.

so ive been doing stuff all over lol
but i guess mostly ive been staying near my house and the schools???
its hard to walk anywhere else right now
but ive basically just been trying to at least get some paint on everything so no one walks into stuff!!!
no subject
Which schools? My friend has been around the University district: Perhaps you saw her. Well, you're probably younger, right?
no subject
but i live near the high school!!!
and yeah youre right i havent started college yet XD
but im a senior right now so ill be there in the fall!!!
also my brother goes to the university so im there sometimes
whos your friend???

Congratulations are in order, then. You're almost done.
Her name is Anna Lehmann. "Friend" was a little presumptuous of me. We just know each other.
Still, you're right. That area of the city sees a lot of traffic, especially from people using the app.

My work takes me around the city in a fairly methodical manner. I've been painting mailboxes green as much as time has allowed.
no subject
Having those painted should make it much easier to navigate the streets and prevent some traffic accidents, I should hope.
no subject
As you say, marking mailboxes has been especially helpful in residential areas. Finding unmarked ones is a challenge, but a worthy one. Any assistance would be appreciated.
no subject
What's the situation like in apartment complexes? I could encourage people to assist you with those.
no subject
Have the others paint in areas outside of my usual route. I'll send you a map with details.
no subject
Come to think of it, I'm not sure anyone's painted Neehee's or Narook's yet . . . I've not been to them anyway.
I noticed someone did a grid pattern at the schools and the sky before now!
no subject
I suppose the grid pattern was for easy identification. Someone else responded who works with the postal service. Most external mailboxes should probably be marked by now, which means residential areas are navigable.
no subject
Oh good! I actually ended up having to do up a lot of the roads near my complex, because it's in a weird district.
no subject
I doubt bowling right now resembles the original sport at all.
Indeed. Judging from the responses I've received, a lot of activity was concentrated around the schools. Of course, a lot of students are on here... Those of us who're done with that life have different responsibilities.

Unfortunately, that's the reality for many people. Balancing both isn't easy, yet...I'm sure you're developing some useful skills. Regardless, no one should underestimate the students here. They're doing plenty.
Well, what still needs work, in your opinion?

Mmm! I've been working with the zoo. Some animals escaped there so getting it all back in order might be helpful for everyone's safety, including the animals.
I'd say I've mastered a few sills though, yes. ♥
