Koutarou Takao 6/1 near The Three Broomsticks

It seems I may have caused some concern as a result of temporarily losing all my memories regarding Retrospec, which I apologize for. I never wanted to cause any worry. As a result though, I seem to have missed something fairly important, or at least remarkable. It seems things look a bit different from usual, and if anyone could fill me in on as to why the tree outside my atelier looks like a candy cane for example, that would be very nice of you. In the meantime I'm going to be looking around at these new sights. It's pretty amazing.

I suppose I'm either too predictable or you're starting to get to know me too well.

They are! I never claimed it was a bad thing, Shuji-kun.

Good, because I think we're stuck as friends for a while yet.

I don't mind that at all, so that's great.

If nothing else, I'd like to stick around the other people from my world so we can warn each other about weird ink nonsense.

Yes, it's a shock after all, having some warning would be nice.

And it could be interesting to meet more of them.

I'm more happy to have you back than anything.

I knew something had to be up. We got to literally repaint the town, and the person who would have enjoyed it the most was nowhere to be seen.

It's good that I'm able to make you happy then.

Really? You got to do that? That sounds like so much fun! Why did I have to miss that!

I'm sorry! I missed you. It was interesting, everybody got a pot of paint and we were mixing colors all over. That's why the city looks so different now.

Yes, making it look so different, it's really nice. I'm sad I missed it but it's also so fun to see what it looks like now.

Anything that’s a shining silvery chrome? My fault. Close enough to my favorite that I liked it.

But that brings to mind the most important question we were all asking last month.

What is your favorite color, Koutarou?

I'll be sure to pay extra attention to those places.

I suppose that is something that comes up in those cases.

My favorite color? That's a very hard question. I really enjoy painting leaves in the sun and the sun reflecting in water surfaces, so I guess that it's some shades in that direction.

At the very least your consciousness has returned to you just in time to see the true fruits of our artistic endeavors. Most of it is rather lovely!

At least that happened, yes, I'm glad I get the chance to see it at all. And it is very lovely, it's amazing.

Absolutely. It is unusual after all, so it's bound to bring some unusual thoughts closer to the surface.

Everything suddenly went white one day, we've had to paint everything back that you can see. That's why things look a little Dr. Seuss out there! ;)

Yes, me too, it's surprising how much of a relief it is to remember again.

What a strange thing to suddenly happen. That sounds like a very curious experience. I never imagined the town would start to look like it was inspired by Dr. Seuss.

I mean, I'm sure you've seen that it's not all quite as crazy as that! The buildings and things you can see that are just black outlines, that's what happens when only one of us is painting. When you team up with someone else, that's when you can work in color. You remember how I painted my car pink after we lost blue last time? Now she's sea-green (◠‿◠✿)

but how are you?? no weird side effects so far?

I remember! How lovely, then you must have painted it together with somebody else to get it to be sea-green?

No? I haven't noticed anything this far. I did wake up with my head stuffed with memories I had temporarily forgotten though so I suppose I am slightly disoriented?
