Hello, Recolle.
Let's play a game.
Don't worry -- it's a very fun one, and most of the work is on my part, but I think it'd be a good time sink... and you may even learn a little more about yourself in doing so. You may quit at any point of time and gain rewards from it (those are to be decided, mostly depending on how far you get in your story), though seeing it through to a satisfying end would be the most fruitful for your time.
Now.
Please pick a genre and one of the following colors: Red, Blue, Green.
1. Fantasy
2. Dystopian
3. Romance

Someone that knows when to go along with me and when to push back.

A fine type.
Though you've sworn off romance, you do feel as if there's someone like that in your life... Someone that's entered it recently, simply by chance:
The cashier at your local supermarket.
It isn't a luxurious job, but they seem to love it; there isn't a person they don't talk to, they have a running banter with you every time you stop by to pick up a quick frozen dinner... A good friend, and one that knows you.
But love? Pfft. Furthest thing from your mind. Even if... well, there's a movie you've been looking forward to coming out recently, and it'd be a shame to go alone.
(My apologies for the indeterminate gender at the moment, I didn't wish to presume either way.)

(The gender thing is fine. Surprise me!)
>>Ask how they've been when I stop in for the frozen dinner run this week.

"Fine," first in what you know as her 'customer service voice', and then after a moment it drops with a sigh, her shoulders just the same. "Well... Mostly. I had a blind date coming up, but they canceled, soooo now I'm free. On the day I asked off."
Talk about sorry. But a nice chance too, if you wanted some girl time. Melody smiles a bit, shrugging it off. "I guess I'll just do as I always do and watch Netflix with my date, the Chinese food in my fridge."
You can tell she's joking anyway, self-deprecating as it is. Melody's not that down in the dumps... or so you think, anyway. She even pokes fun at your frozen dinner: "I guess we're pretty similar now, huh?"

You notice that she's the type of person who spaces out her texts nicely. There's no odd clumping, no paragraphs of text... on the other hand, it's definitely like how she talks to you in line: Without much thought, but not in a bad way. Very genuine, very earnest.
