Hello, Recolle.
Let's play a game.
Don't worry -- it's a very fun one, and most of the work is on my part, but I think it'd be a good time sink... and you may even learn a little more about yourself in doing so. You may quit at any point of time and gain rewards from it (those are to be decided, mostly depending on how far you get in your story), though seeing it through to a satisfying end would be the most fruitful for your time.
Now.
Please pick a genre and one of the following colors: Red, Blue, Green.
1. Fantasy
2. Dystopian
3. Romance

Your bass guitar hums in anticipation, wanting for a good time. Soon, you tell it. Soon.
Mercury, your intrepid and handsome leader, decides you'll all play a set at the inn for some information. Does that jive with you too?

what do my companions play?

Bowie, who never leaves your side, is a big fan of rock -- and of you.
The four of you step into the inn, which is as unsettlingly quiet as the morning you arrived. Mercury, always a man with a plan, asks you to pump up the crowds while he deals with the barkeep and a few pieces of gold.

As for the crowd...
Hmmm, lets warm them up with a huge hypeman act...something like...
"LADIES AND GENTLEMAN! BOYS AND GIRLS! READY TO SHAKE THE ROOF!? WE ARE! LETS HEAR THE PARTY PEOPLE!"

As for your rallying, there's some who join in! For the most part, though, there's a lack of any response. Taylor helps you out, and between the two of you you get a nice rally going.
'Good job, Deacon, Taylor! Let's set this place on fire!'
Mercury's been successful in his miniature quest to gain the keep's blind eye, barmaids handing out a round of drinks to all who're able to handle another mug, and stand on the counter itself. May drags a few spare tables over and helps you on top of one of them, Taylor staying below as he magics his Astral Drums into existence.
It's always so cool to see him do that.
Your first track's one of your more famous ones -- 'Don't Sock Me Now', usually a song you'd use for your defenses. It pacifies and calms negative emotions while bolstering more postive ones, so you think you know where Mercury's going with this.

Love the plan!
I keep my eyes around to see the effects of our magic...Occasionally looking to Mercury for a signal

and then he hits a high note purposefully, wrong in the ears of you and the others, and you know he's seen something suspicious. There's a shadow moving in the back of the crowd, those in front unaware, but there's definitely something curved, white, and glinting in the firelight.
The usual plan is it lure them in closer and then strike, but there's too many people between you and them. Taylor's primarily support, you know, and Mercury's just the same; they have their hands full on percussion, so it's up to you and May.
May starts to groove with the beat around the crowd. Will you follow his lead?

Go with the groove, Deacon.

Umm, where is bowie?
