Hello, Recolle.
Let's play a game.
Don't worry -- it's a very fun one, and most of the work is on my part, but I think it'd be a good time sink... and you may even learn a little more about yourself in doing so. You may quit at any point of time and gain rewards from it (those are to be decided, mostly depending on how far you get in your story), though seeing it through to a satisfying end would be the most fruitful for your time.
Now.
Please pick a genre and one of the following colors: Red, Blue, Green.
1. Fantasy
2. Dystopian
3. Romance

Pale Rider heeds your call and returns to your soul, body warming at the presence of your Persona back in its rightful place.
Down below, you hear a shriek -- "Off, off, get them-- get them off!" -- and, looking down, it's a man who's tearing at his head, his hair, then down his face and the rest of his body in some delusional episode. Another comes around and swings a metal pipe at the man, the woman's slight frame holding an unusual amount of power as she wails and wails and wails until he falls as silent as the rest of the world.
Right. That's still a thing.

I'll bring Parvati forth, and head down. Is the man beyond saving?

The man does seem to be breathing raggedly, gargling blood as it pours down his throat. His face is beyond saving. His mind may be damaged into disrepair as well, not to mention... Well, it's quite plain that he's suffering. It won't be long until death gives him peace in this ravaged world.
Do you wish to try and save him?

He can barely speak, too, but he tries.
"My daughter..." You manage to make out. "I... need to protect her," he enunciates slowly, only able to say anything thanks to the numbness in his face.
You ask her age. He says that she'd recently turned seven, and you're not sure how to tell him that children were taken the first day, saved from the suffering. You're not sure he'd listen.

How long does he have to live? I could use a party member, even for five minutes.
