If you could see what was going to happen, if you had the choice, it coming to you in your dreams, would you want to? I know that might seem sort of. Similar to us remembering this other life we had, but. What I mean is a little different. I mean literally seeing what is to come.

Even these dreams, these other memories of this other life, they're hard enough to deal with. I guess sometimes it might be helpful to see what was going to happen, but. It still seems difficult? Lonely? What would you choose? I don't know what I'd want. What I end up choosing, but. I guess I'll find out.

I'm just glad things seem to be back to normal? More or less. As normal as things get around here anyway. With everyone disappearing before, I mean. And I hope everyone is alright now.

[Or. As alright as things could be. All things considered, especially with the whole ordeal with Mio and Leon at least. That she knows of. She could also mention Xiaolang's birthday coming up, but that was probably better done in talking to him in private first. On what he wanted to do for it.]

An ability to share dreams? It wasn't just you though. There were other dreams too.

Come to think of it, I've had a few with other people too. Do you think this is a Retrospec thing, then?

Maybe? I'm not sure.

I guess it depends if there were other app users in your dreams...

If that's the case, though, I don't like it. Our dreams are personal, and people shouldn't be intruding on them.

I remember others too. So it might be something like that.

But if it is, I'm not sure there's anything we can do? Short of maybe trying to stay up, but. That's not healthy for too long. Even if you are right. That some things are personal.

I don't think so. There's no way to deliberately keep others from seeing what you're dreaming, as far as I know. People just wind up wandering into them, or not realizing they're in it themselves.

[Not to mention there are SO MANY things he'd rather people not see when it comes to his memories, from then and now.]

Do you happen to remember who else you saw in your dreams, by any chance?

Dreams aren't something we can really control, no. But there was. I saw May-san?

[They're on better terms in this AU, of course, but she does have a flair for theatrics.]

Not all the time? But some nights I do. Why?

If you're ever bothered by any bad dreams, from our past lives or anything else, don't hesitate to text or call me if you need someone to talk to. You know I don't mind it.

But wouldn't that wake you up? I wouldn't want to interrupt your rest. I know you get up earlier than I do.

Like I said, I don't mind. I'd rather wake up in the middle of the night and make sure you're okay than be asleep while you're troubled over something.

I guess I'd be the same. If you had trouble sleeping too.

[... he's actually had trouble sleeping recently himself, thanks to the residual stress from the Mio stuff, but he didn't want to mention that NOW and have her stress over even more things than necessary. Even though the sentiment IS bringing a pink flush to his features...]

You really don't have to worry about me for that sort of thing. Your rest is much more important.

But you just told me I could message you if I had trouble falling asleep. So that means you can talk to me too.

[Xiaolang plz. This goes both ways. Not that she can exactly force him but still.]

[Yeah no. He ain't getting away with that after being the one to talk Sakura down from it herself.]

You can almost hear the grumble as he types out the next line, cheeks flushed.]

... alright. If I ever have any bad dreams or have a hard time getting to sleep, I'll message you too.

But whatever bad dreams I have aren't much to talk about, anyway.

Even so. I'd feel better knowing you would talk to me. The same way I could talk to you.

[It wasn't her intention in the slightest, he knew, but that message still left him with a stab of guilt. He was keeping so much from her as it is, but... he didn't want to weigh her down or hurt her with it. He didn't think it was fair to her.

Of course, he'll probably get to resolving that once she sees his Judgement dream, but-- timelines. They're wibbly wobbly here.]
