anyway, first off,
if anyone needs help shoveling sidewalks or cleaning driveways or whatever after that snowstorm, let me know
or if you need anything else done even if it isn't snow-related

does anyone know where i can get a fake id
i just need to replace the id stuff i lost when i died

there was an empty book in there and i wrote down everything i knew about them and then this reenactment thing started happening
not sure how much of this is new vs old but apparently this is how it went down forever ago at the start of all this
i'm not sure how this fits into everything else we have so far

if he could do anything to throw us off his trail, i think he would.
it would explain why we haven't learned anything at all and it's already been a few years.
but we keep accessing new areas, too. maybe his magic is starting to fail.

but as to how to spoil the milk...maybe by drawing out his magic with abilities of our own? the last couple of months have been a lot what with monsters and magical doors and stuff. maybe if that sort of thing keeps happening he will have to tap out.
it sounded like retrospec didn't know about the doors' locations before we did, so that had to be vanderweele's illusions fading. maybe.
i am just guessing here.

the only thing i can think of is countering whatever it is retrospec throws at us? if he really is watching or something he has to see what we're doing here.
if it's something he's interested in, he'll come.
trust me, that is like bad guy 101.

[ James is just a wee bit salty because he doesn't have any magic or powers at all to actually counter whatever Vanderweele's doing in the way that John is proposing. Hell, there's not much James can do to help, unless he can actually see Vanderweele enough to throw a punch or shoot a bullet at him. So this plan of action (or inaction, as far as he sees it) doesn't really sit well with him. ]

the only thing i'm good at is hitting hard
but if vanderweele's all squirreled away somewhere i don't exactly have anything to hit

all i am good for is blowing a bunch of shit around and hitting things with a hammer. not exactly helpful either if we cannot find the guy.
but as someone who knows how well you hit things i think there is probably something else, at least.

i've got a bunch of spy stealth crap i know how to do too but it's the same issue
not much i can do with it unless i've got a target to be pointed at
...then again i bet most magic can't do much without a target either huh
unless the magic is like specifically a 'find vanderweele' spell
that's the problem i keep hitting on
if there's a good lead on where to find the guy or at least how to effectively fight him
i haven't found it and i don't know what it is
so what's a guy supposed to do with that

that is about where i get stuck, too.
...optimistically i want to say we will think of something.
but we might have to just wait on that and that's the part that sucks.
