I need help.

I just tried to leave my house to go to school and my vision suddenly... just POOF. Gone. Everything went black. Like someone blindfolded me, but there was nothing there. I managed to get back inside and it stopped. Which is how I'm able to type this.

It happened yesterday as well, and from what I can tell... it just happens when I'm outside. If I'm inside, I can see. So... until this stops (I REALLY HOPE IT STOPS, BECAUSE I CANNOT THINK OF HOW TO EXPLAIN THIS TO A DOCTOR. SITUATIONAL VISION LOSS?) I need some help getting around.

Starting with getting to school in the next 30 minutes.

I get it. Just because I'm jaded to changes like that doesn't mean everyone is, especially people who haven't been on the network for a year and counting. I should be more sensitive.

I really hope it's temporary.

How long does it take for people to hit the jaded phase, in your estimation?

It varies a lot, depending on what event you got thrown into and what your memories and physical changes look like. Like if you get tentacles day two, you're probably not going to be as thrown by anything after that, you know?

Yeah, that makes sense. I've gotten some odd memories, but nothing tentacle-level yet.

For me I think it took about a year to be completely jaded, but after a couple months I was freaking out a lot less at most things.

I think I need another month or two, probably. Shit is still really weird to me. Like, I'm not freaking out except over the possibility I could possibly be going completely blind, but I'm more or less starting to get used to the whole memory thing.

It also helps if your past self was like, a good person. Makes the memories easier to get through.

I think she was? I have one memory where her father is watching the news and the anchors are talking about some vigilantes. And he was like "that's not you, right?" and she was all "At least 'm not doing anything bad!"

Could be worse. More parents have to worry about their kids doing drugs or skipping school or getting into gangs.

Exactly! I mean, he was worried about her safety... and probably with good reason... but still!
