I need help.
I just tried to leave my house to go to school and my vision suddenly... just POOF. Gone. Everything went black. Like someone blindfolded me, but there was nothing there. I managed to get back inside and it stopped. Which is how I'm able to type this.
It happened yesterday as well, and from what I can tell... it just happens when I'm outside. If I'm inside, I can see. So... until this stops (I REALLY HOPE IT STOPS, BECAUSE I CANNOT THINK OF HOW TO EXPLAIN THIS TO A DOCTOR. SITUATIONAL VISION LOSS?) I need some help getting around.
Starting with getting to school in the next 30 minutes.

It's Raina. My first name, anyway.

Oh, and... just let me know whenever where to meet or what you look like if you ever want to do the thing.

I will!>
[and Raina will 100% get a text the next afternoon, with a selfie of Rinka just inside the doors of Recolle High, along with a request to help her get to a coffee shop in Chata]

After showing her that she'll be wearing a black baseball cap as an indicator. ]
Hey! Rinka, right?

[Rinka waves when Raina approaches]
Hi, yeah, that's me. Thanks again for helping me with this.
[she gestures toward her face]
I've got a study group this afternoon at 4, so I figure if I'm already there when everyone else starts to arrive, it won't draw any notice.

Okay. The buses seem to be running on time, so we should be fine.
[Rinka holds out her right hand]
I can either hold your shoulder or hold your arm. Whichever you'll be more comfortable with. Then we need to catch the 86 two blocks down until we get to Edison. And then catch the 54 to Franklin. And the cafe is just around the corner from the bus stop.

[ As she says that she puts her arm right where Rinka can feel it. ]
But alright, that sounds simple enough.

Lead the way.

Of course she's going to walk to the bus stop at an even pace, making sure that she's not too slow, but not too hasty, either.
Maybe she should try starting up a conversation; something a little more casual. ]
So... how is the high school here? I've never been, personally, so I'm admittedly a little curious.

As far as I know, it's a decent one? I'm on the tennis and track teams, and we've placed at State multiple times in the past few years. Our football team is one of the best in the area. Academically, I think we're ranked somewhere in the 500s nationally?

[ There's vague interest in Raina's voice, although she's not really all that interested in the sports section, but rather the academic half of it, so hearing the fact that it's in the 500s is not entirely terrible. ]
That's pretty good, actually.

Right? Considering how many schools are in this state alone, it's not at all shabby.
[whichever state that Recolle is in...]
They offer a lot of AP classes too. So provided I score well on the tests, I might be able to skip some prereqs when I go to college.

[ With her free hand she waves a little bit in a gesture that seems pretty carefree. ]
Anyway, bus is here. Be careful when you get on.
no subject
Precisely. Two birds, one stone.
[When Raina tells her they're at the bus, Rinka carefully sticks out her free hand to feel for the bus and carefully steps forward, feeling for the edge of the sidewalk. Her hand finds the rubber of the door gasket, giving her an idea of how far away the bus is. Since it's a city bus, the floor will be just about level with the sidewalk. She steps into the bus without any trouble, letting go of Raina's arm as she does so. If she remembers correctly, it's about two steps into the bus before the farebox. She ducks her head and digs into her pocket for the change she'd counted out while still inside the school, letting the toe of her shoe tell her once she's hit the farebox. Waist high... she fumbles a little, feeling for the spot to drop the coins, but at least she can just let the coins slide themselves in instead of having to fit them into a tiny coinslot. Once she hears the ding from the farebox indicated the correct amount had been given, she makes a turn to the left. Raina will have to help her find an empty seat.]

[ Raina, on the other hand is eyeing Rinka rather carefully in the off chance that she needs any assistance with anything already using her eyes to search out for seats.
Once Rinka is done putting in her coins, she tugs her a little bit by the sleeve, voice lowered as a whisper. ]
C'mon, there's seats in the back.

Haaaa... thanks.
