Ok so

The good news is I didn't turn into an ant

Actually I have wings now?? They just kind of popped out of nowhere.

So does anyone have tips for flying/not knocking everything over trying to walk around the house? I don't want to have to buy more monitors...

[And, once it's darker out, a small figure heads out to the park wrapped up in a warm coat and a beanie over her long hair - long purple hair, though with the dark, it may be more difficult to catch the glint of color.

Casting a glance around to make sure no one's around (that she can see), Yuuki takes a breath and stretches, a pair of wings appearing from her back - and yet, mysteriously, outside of her clothes. Sparkles glimmer faintly in the air, but they disappear quickly as they're shed from the transluscent wings.]

Um... how do I explain...

My boots, for example. I don't just wear them like regular boots. I have to think how I'm going to use them.

You think about how you're going to use boots?

[She's... having a hard time picturing this, but also, she only ever walks in boots.]

A lot of it is very subconscious now, but yes.

Oh! Have you ever ridden a bicycle? A friend of mine has one and tried to show me once. But it was all so complicated. Peddling and steering and staying balanced. But he can do it no problem.

Controlling my boots is like that, I guess. There were things I needed to think consciously about, at first. Maybe your wings are like that?

Ok, so first step learn how to move them, second step get used to it so I don't have to think about it too hard later?

I mean, it makes sense. I think I used to be able to fight when I was flying, too.

Just outside of town on the way to Recolle Woods? That' where I first practiced with my boots.

That works! I can be there in about 30 minutes.

[teeeeechnically she can be there in less time, but this is how long it takes her to get across town by bus]

[And sure enough, Yuuki will be waiting along the edges. She's got a warm coat and a beanie over her now long, purple hair - and ears, for a matter of fact. She peers around her surroundings as she waits, clearly on the lookout until...

[She trots over to the other girl. Similarly attired for the cold, she claps her gloved hands together in anticipation.]

Are you ready to try this?

Ready! Teach me everything, oh great master!

[She pumps a fist in the air as she says as much, using the motion to stretch her back and make those wings appear behind her.]

[Li-Na gives a delighted coo as she sees Yuuki's wings. Black, glittery, semi-transparent bat wings? Adorable.]

Ooooo, they're so cute!

Eheheh...

[She just laughs in her embarrassment, scratching at the back of her head.]

I guess it just comes with being a fairy? There were others with different wing shapes, though!

A fairy, huh? Were there different types of fairies then? Is that why there were different wing shapes?

[Li-Na would have much rather had fairies in her past life than akuma B|]

I think so? I saw a bunch of different colors, so it's possible! It's like everyone's hair and clothes were color-coded to match, too.

Ahh, but I was wearing purple then, so maybe that's a little bit off.

Maybe you were merely an exception to the rule?

[but color coordinated hair and outfits isn't the reason they're out here]

Anyway, let's see how your wings work. I don't think anyone on the network has had magic based wings before.

Oh, right, right!

[Her smile becomes a frown as she concentrates. Okay wings, let's see if this goes better than the first try...

They give a beat, putting her surprisingly high up in the air. She drops quite a bit before she gets the next beat in, but after a few seconds she's definitely hovering, though it doesn't stay as level as it could be. She's adjusting the power she uses with each beat, and it's never quite the same amount of lift, leading her to bob up and down.]

Nice! You get quite a bit of lift with those.

[Li-Na stays on the ground for now, not capable of hovering without invoking Sound Shackles. It allows her to see the way Yuuki bobs between each flap.]

Can you flap your wings a little faster? Smaller beats, but less time in between?
