She'll probably be pretty happy with it, since she's a bike mechanic, but I don't know if "science class" is gonna cut it for the explanation.

Hopefully since it's a thing from Retrospec she won't think it strange for too long. My mother has mostly gotten used to my hair and eye color.

Yeah, I guess so. I still wish she didn't lose her connection, though. I feel bad just lying.

It's not like you mean to lie. You're not doing it to hurt her or because you want to be untruthful with her.

But, I understand feeling bad about it all the same.

I wish Retrospec would just let us tell the truth. I mean, let them all believe and remember when we do.

That would be a lot simpler. But you never know. She might just remember someday on her own. Her soul start aligning again, or whatever it is Retrospec says is happening with us.

Yeah, but even if a miracle happens with one person, how many other people have basically lost their loved ones or all their friends because they can't be honest with them?

Do people really stop being friends with each other when someone loses the app? I get that they don't understand about Retrospec and won't remember things that happened... but it's not like we can't still be friends with them... even if we have to start all over...

Yeah, you can. It just... I don't know if I can handle all the lying and hiding things.

I get with your sister you probably feel like you're hiding a lot of stuff from her, because you're family and you're supposed to be close to your family. But everyone else? They don't have to know everything that goes on in your life. You can go hang out with them after school and see a movie, and then if you go to do some Retrospec stuff afterwards, it's not like you have to tell them. Not all secrets are bad.

It just seems to me like you're boxing yourself in when you don't need to. And it seems like it would be really lonely that way too.

I'm sorry you've had so many friends drop off the network. I've only had it since November, so I've not experienced that much yet. But I have lost touch with friends in other ways, so I know how it feels a little bit.

Other me was basically in something like Sherazide's 1000 Arabian nights, sort of. The fire stuff and the other form I had was all because of my Djinn.

As far as I know, I think I have a nice sword coming my way and some more magic...one of them makes me a little nervous.
