It's been brought to my attention (again) that some of you are looking for compensation for the work you're doing. I'm open to that. So tell me, Retrospecters, what is it that you're looking for? Money? Answers? None of the above? I'm all ears.

The scouting project seems to be working out okay. I don't know if any of you have found a place that's really good to relocate or recover but maybe we should talk about that, too.

…finally, bit of a morality question for you.

What's the priority here, you think? Working on chasing Vanderweele down this rabbit hole of a wild goose chase (wow that is too many animal analogies), or memory recovery of the company itself? Both of them are about as convoluted as you think, but not impossible.

Wait, not finally. One more thing since someone brought it up: in case you haven't noticed yet, you might want to pay attention to the things you've managed to bring back because, and I hate to make it sounds real drastic, but the fate of the world kinda depends on it? Just a little. Welcome to your destiny, everybody.

Thought I was all about killing the shit out of Vanderweele, but he's falling down my priorities a little.

Pretty sure the compensation we get is to stay alive. All the money in the world doesn't fuckin' matter if there's no world for tomorrow. Much as I hate sounding like a fucking narc, let's do the job and we'll see what else we need for pay at the end of it.

look, i don't really care one way or another. i remember my world kicking it. i even remember reincarnating to a place i'm pretty damn sure was earth. could be this earth, for all i know.

point is, i'm not interested in letting go. neither are you, sounds like. our lives are a hell of a lot better here. so what if they rebuild all our worlds and send us off packing back where we belong?

Then we fight back, I guess. They can't force us anywhere. Vanderweele sure can't, or he'd have gotten rid of all of us by now.

A2's world sucked ass. Not another human around for as long as I know about. They can't make me go back there and be the only person in it, and they can't make you go back to your world, either. If they don't give us the choice, we'll have to fight for it.

It feels kind of weird for him to be asking what we want. I thought he was already doing as much as he could for us...

Not surprised either, though. Clarence has always been good about covering his tracks, or maybe just leaving his tracks wide fucking open for all of us to see but not follow. Or whatever. I just don't know what Zee thinks we can do to help Retrospec themselves out. Seems like all most of us are good for is the field work.

Anyway. If we're here now, it's because we can handle it. I still don't like that we're apparently strong enough to be of interest to Muddy Waters up there, but whatever we actually need to do, we've got it. I definitely can't go diving anymore, but that just means I'll find other things to do. Same with ghost-related things.
