retrospec | (no subject)

It's been brought to my attention (again) that some of you are looking for compensation for the work you're doing. I'm open to that. So tell me, Retrospecters, what is it that you're looking for? Money? Answers? None of the above? I'm all ears.

The scouting project seems to be working out okay. I don't know if any of you have found a place that's really good to relocate or recover but maybe we should talk about that, too.

…finally, bit of a morality question for you.

What's the priority here, you think? Working on chasing Vanderweele down this rabbit hole of a wild goose chase (wow that is too many animal analogies), or memory recovery of the company itself? Both of them are about as convoluted as you think, but not impossible.

Wait, not finally. One more thing since someone brought it up: in case you haven't noticed yet, you might want to pay attention to the things you've managed to bring back because, and I hate to make it sounds real drastic, but the fate of the world kinda depends on it? Just a little. Welcome to your destiny, everybody.

That sounds like a pretty messed up system. Something you'd see in a show, actually.

There's a little part of me that wishes it was. It would explain a lot.

But I have this horrible feeling a lot of bad things happened in that game.

Bad things happening in a video game is... again, common.

I don't know that I've heard of that one, though. I think I got too tied up in the MMORPG end of things. Well, that and Stellarmist Canyon.

Well, I mean it's not exact but like... if you want a game where bad shit happens in MMOs that deals with comas and potential death? Play .hack.

Hmmmm, I don't think I've seen that one before. I wonder if it makes any more sense than the one I remember.

...though maybe I'll wait to play it until after I remember whether or not I survived Sword Art Online. It might feel a little too real otherwise.

Mechanically, the game makes a lot of sense, but it's admittedly pretty dated. If you have the console for it, I'd let you borrow my copies if you remember surviving though.

It's not dated, it's retro! Besides, if the story's good I can forgive just about anything else.

I've still got all my old consoles, though whether or not they still work is another question entirely.

The story is definitely really good, that's a personal guarantee.

If yours don't work, I'll probably have to ask the parents if they can ship my old PS2.
