Holy Week has begun, the time of Christ's divine Passion and Resurrection. Today is Palm Sunday, the day our Lord was welcomed into Jerusalem like a king, in full knowledge that many of those who cheered for him would soon be screaming out for his death. Yet he still chose to take on the burden of their sins, and of ours. He chose to forgive.

For those of you who are part of the Church and have not yet done so, I encourage you to come and celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation during this final week of Lent, and to experience Christ's infinite forgiveness and love.

I know that some find it difficult to speak their heart to a priest even in the best of times, but I hope that by my own sharing in the strange and often upsetting experiences associated with this social network, I can offer to you a uniquely sympathetic ear. The Seal of the Confessional is still absolutely inviolate, even if one is not completely sure of the source or nature of the sins that one is confessing. Our Lord who knows all things in fullness will understand, even if we do not.

To those of you not in communion with the Church, I offer my blessing and pray that you find peace and comfort during this beautiful season of spring. My thoughts are with all of you as we walk together beneath this, our own peculiar veil of shadow.

[ooc: Those who want to take Karl up on his offer can hit up his IC inbox and/or contact me at [plurk.com profile] randomarticle or Spinel#3440 on Discord! Non-Christian characters are welcome to ask him for a private chat too, of course, it's just that the Seal of the Confessional won't apply.]

I hope the cat has your attention. Good afternoon, everyone! I hope this weekend has been treating you well. I'm here to announce something very, very special (and exciting) for our furry friends at the Recollé Animal Shelter.

On Saturday, April 22nd @ 5pm I will be hosting the Black Ties & Tails Charity Fundraiser, with all the money and donations going straight to the shelter. It will be a formal dance event held at the convention center. You'll need at least a five dollar donation or a can of pet food to get in. You can dress as fancy as you want, but you have to at least dress up a little! The theme is animals, so if you'd like to add ears or a tail to your outfit you are absolutely allowed to.

For people who can't really afford to be glamorous, I have you covered. I'll be getting together with the boutique owners of the area and outfitting people before the event. Just make sure you come two hours early so that we can do your hair and makeup and get you dressed.

The venue is essentially a giant ballroom for dancing and food with some tables on the side. There will be shelter staff on hand to process applications and answer questions as well as show off some of the dogs and cats that are available for adoption. You're encouraged to bring your own pet as long as they're leashed and friendly.

I'd like some help, too! If you don't mind volunteering or you just want to get in for free, I need lots of hands to make this thing happen. This is a great opportunity for musicians to get exposure, for example. I also need cooks, servers, and general volunteers. You can contact me through Retrospec or my liaison for the event at XXX-XXX-XXXX.

Thank you so much for reading! I hope to see you all there!

I thought the first hallucination was just something my brain made up from stress. I broke up with a girlfriend, had a game in the final stages of preparations, and spent about two hours a day getting tossed around by my bodyguard while training. Such things are bound to make the mind think up all sorts of weird images and insist on them being right.
But after the last two I've gotten, I think that I've joined the rest of the masses with annoying images that feel right even if they aren't a reality that I know. Some of the faces look almost like a couple people from home especially the man being called 'General'. Is that the same with other people? Having people in those halluncinomemories things that are also here and now?
I'm also wondering a little... If you were shown a picture of a jungle area with a group of men in combat gear guarding a bunch of natives working with chemicals, would you immediately think drugs being made or would you think something else was going on?

[ooc; and ooops posted to the wrong com like the silly I am. sorry about that!]
