That is the definition of a claim, yes.

You could be using contact lenses or a photo filter.

The only thing I'm saying is that the only word we have to go on is yours.

Memory changes are one thing, but physical changes? What could possibly have caused that?

Do you remember horses?

Yet others don't.

Memories are changing. Physical changes are harder to explain.

It is something of a

work in progress

It means it's a work in progress.

How do you know what color your eyes are? Or were, before. Did they feel blue?

Reality may not be able to be altered, but perhaps perception can.

I hope you realize that in your irritation you've proven my point. There's no inherent quality to your eyes that makes them blue, or purple, or what have you.

What if the color of your eyes hasn't changed, but you now perceive them as purple? Would it be so different from people perceiving horses as giant birds?

The chocobos are clearly real by any way we have to measure it. We can interact with them, touch them, see them.

But our memory of horses is less clear. After all, there are no horses here in front of us just now. What if the ones who don't remember horses are correct, and our memories are the false ones?

In other words, what if your eyes were always this color, and your memory that they were blue is a fabrication?

But you remember watching those videos. You remember hearing those comments. Everything before now, before this very conversation, is a memory.

And memories, as we've seen, have been vulnerable to change.

I apologize, I don't recognize that reference.

This song is

very silly

To be honest, I'm not sure. Things are far too strange right now.

Even if we accept it's only a matter of perception and memory, that's still frightening in its scope. Suppose that you never did have blue eyes, but they were able to make you think they did. What other facets of our identity could be fraudulent?
