This message comes from both Grell Sutcliffe and Lucian Trevelyan. There’s been discussion recently of certain changes coming over our userbase. Changes that come in different forms, from certain unexplained moments that feel like dreams or perhaps memories, items showing up without cause, or certain physical attributes undergoing shifts in inexplicable ways. It’s to the latter that we address ourselves.

We are both medical professionals, and as such we’d like to say that if you undergo such changes and would like someone to take a look at what’s happened to you, for any reason, we’re capable of doing so and willing to provide you with what information and care you need. Anyone that comes to see us will be treated with the same standards as we’d give any patient - your information will remain confidential, and your visits will be at your discretion.

[ Lucian makes efforts to make his office look less hostile, such as painting everything in a (hopefully) relaxing cream colour. The receptionists looks up and calls him over to confirm that his name is written the same way as the information sheet that Lucian gave her, before telling him to go into the consultation room proper.

The room is painted in the same off-cream colour as outside, with a single sprig of flower in a corner vase. Today, it's a white flower. ]

[ There's a slightly longer blink as he registers Kashuu's red eyes, but nothing more than that. ]

[The flower is what he ends up focusing on until Lucian appears, since that's pretty, if nothing else. One single sprig of flower in the entirety of the room seems almost comedic, somehow...

But his attention snaps over as soon as Lucian speaks, and he'll take a seat as directed.]

Um— well, half of my friends think I'm turning into a vampire and the other half thinks there's some voodoo stuff going on with this sword, so if we could start somewhere around there...

He also walked into the office with a kendo bag slung over his shoulder, which he's taken off and set across his lap.]

Mm, well... I keep waking up with weird stuff, like pretty much 80 percent of the rest of the people with this app. First it was the eye thing-- Oh, and I also started, like... flower petal-ing at around the same time? Petals just kinda appear whenever I'm really happy, now. [And if that wasn't weird enough, he'll pat the case on his lap.] Also, I can feel through this sword now.

We can go through each issue after another. [ This is a lot of anime for one old man. ] Red eyes are generally caused by the loss or absence of pigment in one's iris, showing the colour of the blood vessels at the back of the eyes. This also makes your eyes sensitive to light. Have you noticed any changes in your vision after your eye colour changed?

[ He pulls up a new case file on the computer and starts typing in point form. Nothing too detailed, in case Kashuu tells him confidential information (which would be omitted if he can trust himself to remember it). ]

But red eyes are indeed the easiest part of his Everything, and he seems more than happy to talk about them first. He still remembers Dave getting some funky doctor's note that said he had some actually legit-sounding issue, okay.]

Mm... No, there weren't any changes. My sight didn't get better or worse or anything, and I didn't really feel any difference when I was in bright places or whatever.

I see. The other hypothesis I would have is that the pigment in your irises have changed instead of disappeared. That could again be blood-related or some sort of other substance, though unfortunately this is where my medical knowledge runs dry.

Yes, that is needed. The eyes are very delicate organs, so any intervention would need to be well-researched first.

Thanks, but I know where to get 'em. [Of course he does.] I wore sunglasses for a while too, but it was too much of a pain. People've stopped noticing them so much lately anyway, so I guess they got used to 'em?

Okay. [And now it's time for the Really Weird Thing, oh boy! He glances down at the blade in his lap and then slips his hands under it so he can raise the whole thing, sheath and all, up for inspection.]

...I'm not sure how to explain this one, outside of "people touch this and I can feel it". Even if I'm pretty far away.

It just feels the same as my arm or something? Like if someone touched my shoulder and touched this sword, it'd feel the same to me.

I am afraid I cannot offer any concrete explanation for that from established medical knowledge. Do you feel pain or heat through your sword?

There was a theory that was told to me, about the theory of the soul. Usually it would be dismissed as pseudoscience, but what happened to you seems to be evidence to the contrary. A soul link, resonance between the two - but through what field or manner, I do not know.

[ So, it's just a theory. ]

I would advise that you keep the sword with great care, just in case.

I have conducted a bit of investigation on the application. It seems that the application and all its other liabilities are connected to a person in a way that is not detectable using current scientific instruments. This is the best theory I have so far... I apologize.

Mm, no, it's fine. It's not like I expected anyone here to have answers when pretty much no one does, y'know? ...Thanks for letting me know, anyway. I'm not sure what to believe, but I'm not about to take any risks trying to figure this stuff out.
