POST β¦ ( OLD RAZZLE DAZZLE. )
A quick question:
What are the confirmed symptoms for spontaneous combustion?
I remember reading in some books that before some people exploded into flames and died fiery horrible deaths, there were reports of seeing sparks around the person before the combustion occurred.
Is this true or not? I really need to know right now. As in ASAP as in now as in really right now.
[ ooc; ainsley has been given the subset ability of her prestidigitation - triggering a shower/rain of sparkles and glitter and stars around her when she's happy. it activated today so feel free to have your character see this happening to her in public before this post came up! ]

Anya looks briefly delighted at the sparks, her own expression lighting up as she notices that they definitely just tickle as opposed to burn. Then she's going to smile and giggle a little bit at Ainsley's exclamation, shaking her head.]
It is like Kiyomitsu's!
[Yes, she's got it understood now.]
Do not worry, Ms. Menodora. XΠΎΡΠΎΡΠΎ! Anya is okay. And you are okay. You just go... kirakira when you are happy!
[literally. sparkle sparkle]

So it didn't hurt you? At all? [ a big siiiigh of muted joy. joy because anya's fine, muted because her heart is still trying to jump out of her chest. it doesn't change the fact that this could have been so much worse and she's just lucky it seems so harmless now.
for a second, she was wondering if she should retire from her work as a teacher or not. the last thing she'd ever want to do is hurt any of her students by accident. still. something is bothering her- ]
So when I'm happy, huh? That's a strange trigger to have. Does that mean... Anytime I feel happy, this happens?

[She even shows her hands to Ainsley, offering them out. As promised, not a sign of a burn or anything. Anya doesn't seem bothered at all, humming a pleased little note.]
I do not know the answer. But that is why Kiyomitsu has surprise flowers sometimes. Maybe it is the same for Ms. Menodora?

Surprise flowers and surprise... sparkles, for the lack of a better word. [ ainsley tries to give it thought but, instead, she just ends up laughing quietly while trying to cover her mouth. it's in a vain attempt to smother her laughter but it's just so hard now.
it feels like a weight has been lifted off her chest and she has anya to thank for that. bless this darling young woman here. ] Goodness! Of all the strange things to happen- I didn't think suddenly flowers! and sparkles! would be part of the chaos.
Suppose the question now is to wonder if this will happen to anyone else. I thought I was alone but apparently not.

You are not. Um... My friend - his name is Kiyomitsu Kashuu. He works at A Good Bean and is very good at fashion. He is very sweet. If you want to meet him, I think he will be okay with it.
[A firm nod.]
I am glad that it is not a fire.... ["fire hazard" is what she wants to say but settles for - ] Fire danger.

ainsley takes a note of the name, kiyomitsu kashuu, nodding along while she listened to anya. ] I see! I hadn't thought that it was actually possible that someone else was going through this.
When I have the chance to visit there then, I'll try to speak with him about it. [ there's a little pause of silence on her end, considering something. ] Ah... Should I let him know that I know because of this conversation...?

ΠΠ°! That is okay. It is very specific problem - I think he will understand if you say that Anya told you. But do not say so very loud, he does not like the change very much.

others? that's a worrying thought. ] I owe you so much right now, Anya. I really do! For a second I thought this was an isolated case and everything but knowing someone else is going through this is⦠is a revelation. A good one, I mean.
