Behold: I enclose a sketch of a mysterious stranger, one whom I theorize is of great import to you all, my compatriots! I have been having recurring dreams of this man, a man whomst I have never met, and always the scenario repeats like old clockwork: I, Ranko Kanzaki, shadowed against the sunset, being apparently threatened by this demonic messenger! There the dream ends...but my memories do not.
Could it be that this is the 'Jim' we seek? And, if so, the reason why he is constantly rebuffed by Janet could not be clearer: observe those eyes, their harsh and pitiless gaze. No wonder he is left with no option other than bewitching this fair city's fruit.
I digress, however. To any other humble servant of Retrospec's divine whims - how do I get these dreams to leave me in peace? At least for now. I need to fully replenish my artes before a certain grand performance this week.
Thank you in advance! Or rather, my deepest regards.
[ ooc note: obviously, assume that ranko's sketch is a realistic scary guy, not...an anime-style scary guy... ]
Ah, I see. I thought you meant...something else. [ Ranko feels her cheeks growing flushed. Somehow, she couldn't imagine the stone-faced man in her dreams producing roses and chocolates out of nowhere.
Now that she thinks about it, that was probably the strongest argument against him being the true Jim. Not Jim Prime, then - a mirror Jim, conjured from the silvery reflections of a mystical lake. Jim 2? ]
I fear Jim's ardent intentions may prove fruitless, however. Will Janet truly be impressed by his fruit-focused sorcery? I admit, though, his dedication to his craft is quite impressive.
i think it is nice that he cares so much that he will try for her even if his methods are odd it is nice to see maybe it would go better if he made her food or

As long as he does not attempt to make food out of the fruit he just bewitched. Unless, of course, Janet is a fan of smiling food? I fear I do not see the appeal, but
[ Truth be told, Ranko was so unprepared to receive the second part of Anya's message that she almost kept on rambling about her not-so-secret distaste for (or rather, terror of) dancing apples as if nothing had happened.
Then she almost falls over. ]
You are acquainted with Jim 2???? [ no ranko you haven't explained that part of your internal monologue to anya yet ]
Never mind! Your revelations are far grander in scale than my own!
Producer, then? Is that his true occupation? In my dreams - which, I confess, do feel very much like a memory - he was sitting outside what appeared to be a palace. I sat alongside him: beside a glorious aquatic display, spouting Undine's blessed foam! Then he mentioned two words I would never forget...
[ drumroll please... ]
Salisbury steak. I was shocked, I tell you!
However, I did not assume him to be a 'producer' from this conversation. Perhaps a demonic butcher of some kind?
there are some words that i do not understand but google is helping
except what is infernal legion ?
i think that he is very nice and kind and gave anya a feeling of support like he would not let me fall on my own so i think he is probably nice that is my hope
Behold, the infernal legion! The soldiers that march to the beat of an abyssal wing, in the glow of the coming eclipse. With their fiery pitchforks in hand, they praise their grand and beautiful leader, broken free from heavenly chains!
[ SORRY ANYA. Ranko could go on, but she decides she probably shouldn't get sidetracked...even if it is pretty fun. ]
In that case, mayhaps I need not worry about these dreams that have thus plagued me! If there is no danger of them turning into nightmares. [ A 'nightmare'? ...Honestly, something about that word in itself seems familiar. But Ranko can't place it. Not yet. ]
The most important story of all. But I trust that, in time, all will become clear. *mysterious chuckle*
[ Anya's just got to interpret her own meaning from this mess, really. Thankfully, Ranko's words become (slightly) more understandable when it counts... ]
Hallucinomemories? An intriguing turn of phrase! How many of these phantasms have you experienced thus far?
Five, you say! Mnemosyne has gifted you with a flurry of unearthly memories! [ slow down, ranko ] Rather...did they come in quick succession? Were they frightening or abrupt? My apologies if I am intruding. [ /SPILLS SPAGHETTI but she's really curious!! ]
Also, who is...Davenka? [ As she's not too familiar with Russian nicknames. ]

Although...his expression was not aggressive. He did not intend to do battle with my infernal legion, that much I am sure of.
A brighter smile? [ She considers this. ] Perhaps this 'Producer' does have a gentler side to him.
