Evening, day of the festival

They are cute, the chocobo chicks, but it feels a little sad that so many people seem to have forgotten about #horses and their #foals.

I was asked if they are some form of weird deer among other things.

((ooc: 1 & 2; pretend they're sketches, I just couldn't resist using these since they're so charming.))

spIt would make much more sense, yet they're built somewhat differently. Dying them would be unkind, too.

spI googled pictures of actual emus afterwards and you're right, they're similar but also different. But if they're not emus, then I'm not sure what they are or where they came from. I'm sure we didn't have Chocobos before now.

I can't imagine a prank so elaborate that everyone in the city is in on it.

[ yes, souji's referring to the leonardo dicaprio movie right now ]

I'm sorry, I don't really understand what you mean by that.
But they probably want us to think they're real.

Wonder why they had to get rid of the horses then. They're pretty popular animals, so I don't think anyone really hates them. They're cute too, like those pictures you've posted.
no subject
spOh, I see.
spThat is odd, one would imagine that if they were so insistent on switching animals out they would at least choose something a little more similar, as well.

spYou'd think, but to look at the bright side of all this, at least it is kind of entertaining to see the mounted police riding on giant yellow chickens rather than horses. It certianly isn't as intimidating.
no subject
spThat is very true. Horses have more presence, so to speak. If the chocobos had looked more like predatory birds maybe they had been a bit closer.
no subject
spMaybe they should invest in spiked collars and anklets to let everyone know how bad they really are
no subject
spDo you think that would help?
