C. AT THE BOOK SHOP
[despite the post he made on the network, makoto isn't too confident many people will suddenly rush in. the nature of the shop is that it's pretty much a quiet place. although it means work is minimal, it also detracts from anything interesting happening. at least, right now, makoto keeps entertaining by moving books on sale onto the front of shelves, and moving boxes away from corners to do the same with the books and supplies in them, too. that's when he finds a pretty old electric piano. makoto had wondered where it disappeared off to.]
[if you are to walk into the shop at any one point, you'll find makoto standing in front of the piano in the corner where two bookshelves meet, playing a slow tune, as if testing out that the keys worked just fine.]

04/15/2017 near Tachibana's Book Store
hey guys, i thought i might as well take advantage of this app while i can. at least for anyone that is interested. this time each year we do an inventory clean up at the book store (the one you see on the picture!), and what that means is that a lot of our merchandise is going to be on sale. some stuff's 50% off, some old editions at 70%. last i checked we're selling stacks of stickers virtually free, if you're into cute stationery. most of our books are in japanese but we got several book and magazine issues in english. our japanese cookbooks are particularly popular, and yeah, they're in english. if you collect manga volumes, we're also getting rid of some older series to bring in new ones. we got posters, agendas, and all sorts of art supplies.the sale is until the end of the month, and then we're getting new editions and merchandise in may. please come and have a look? there may be something you like. we're located in tisse, a couple of stores down from the confectionery. we open from 8AM until 5PM.
i'll be there, too. thanks for helping out my family's shop.

c!
the place looked nice and quiet, kind of a strange throwback to small shops he might have visited back home. keigo almost expected some old person to be at the counter to greet him, but naturally, that wasn't the case. in fact, there wasn't anyone there at all. the only thing to greet him was soft piano music coming from further inside.
naturally, keigo couldn't just leave well enough alone, and once he found the source of the music, he stood there and listened for a bit. you know, like a creep.
whenever makoto finished, that was when keigo decided to be a grade-a asshole and speak up abruptly. ]
That was nice. You're pretty good.
Re: c!
Thanks. It's been a while since I played, so I messed up some of the keys...
[--he's trying to be modest here]
Sorry. Ah--welcome to the shop.
no subject
It didn't sound that way to me, but...
[ he smiled, hopefully in a way that wasn't too awkward. ]
Don't apologize! I kinda just wandered in here. Never been in this place before. The music kinda drew me in, to be honest.
no subject
Never? Well, this is my family's book shop. We import all sorts of reading material from Japan, as well as stationery and art supplies.
[despite his previous nervous squeaking around the edges, now that he's on customer service mode, makoto's a lot more responsive.]
Is there anything you think you'd be interested in? [his own cousin is japanese, but he doesn't speak a lick of the language--so makoto offers the following because he doesn't want to just assume] We have translations of novels and manga, too.
no subject
makoto's explanation was met with a chuckle, keigo nodding along as he explained. ]
Actually, if I'm being honest, I came in because of the ad you posted. I...
[ he hesitated, following up with another soft laugh. ]
I'm a little homesick, I guess, so I thought maybe looking through some stuff from Japan would help, y'know?
no subject
I see.
Is there any particular material you would like to look at, or are you good with just looking around as you please? We could talk, too, if you'd prefer that.
sorry for the delay!
That's really nice of you, y'know? Ah, but... I mean, if you're busy, I wouldn't wanna waste your time...
[ keigo was usually pretty fine with bothering people, but when he was so far out of his element, he often erred on the side of caution. still, he was lingering... ]
privated...
