Who else on here has been looking into the coding and otherwise strangeness of this app? We need to make a list, also a list of people who are now no longer connected like the rest of us to this app. In fact, I have an actual first hand account of someone that is off the grid now. As in a fellow UNlocked and I were running through some code, checking up on the flood of all these new people, and then went our separate ways, and when I got up to be ready for the usual early morning torture aka self-defense class with him, someone else is in his place.
Well. I mean that it is him but it's not him. Same face, same voice, same mannerisms but a huge chunk of his memories of the past few months is gone. Like erased gone. He can't see the app, he doesn't remember horses or non-singing fruit. I'm a little shook up by this. Okay. A lot. The guy's my PA. He's not allowed to not be out of the loop I can't survive this way!
Sorry but it's hard being an adult when the real adult is like some kind of smiling robot of themselves that isn't even smiling right. He's like a pod person there is no snark there is no sass WHAT HAPPENED TO THE TALKING BACK SASS?
Also I need a very large drink. Make that three large drinks. And someone that will let me flail at them in a martial arts kind of way. I'll pay for both.

Yoon-sung Lee Keeping secrets is one thing, but we aren't in a position where we can afford it yet.

[Togusa is staring at an ever-increasingly-large hard copy file that he has been keeping since this entire mess began.]

Hitori Togusa I need a backup.
Hitori Togusa And, you're definitely right. What's the point in keeping secrets when it might help someone else figure out what's going on in their own head?
Hitori Togusa Have you been seeing things? Like everyone else? Those weird memories?

Yoon-sung Lee I would suggest both a hard copy and digital.
Yoon-sung Lee Or someone else may have a similar experience in whatever you're remembering.

Hitori Togusa I keep asking people, for exactly the reason you said. Just in case it'll trigger something in my own mind. But don't feel you have to share if it's too personal.

NAME The first one I thought was just something I dreamed up since I've been there before and have had a lot of bodyguards, but after?

Hitori Togusa Drug farm. Keeping in mind that you can't get in legal trouble for things that happened in another lifetime?

[ It's probably the same look that Yoon-sung had on his face when he realized what the memory showed him. Yes, it was a nice calm kind of image as the people ran around trying to get the product covered ahead of the rains, but still, it was a drug farm.

It didn't actually feel that upsetting either really, if he was honest. He was more upset over his lack of upset. ]

Yoon-sung Lee It was a jungle, and there were armed men and other people running around covered cookers and baskets of stuff and throwing tarps on crates.
Yoon-sung Lee I was sitting on an elephant, there was a couple armed men standing next to me and could smell the rains coming.
Yoon-sung Lee Once the track was cleared enough, we headed towards the house overlooking the village.

[ He's not going to talk about the other hallucimemory, the one where he was a child standing in the rain striking over and over again at targets made from wood while his father watched on and told him how useless he was. That one was a little more then painful. ]

Hitori Togusa That's strange, but somehow very normal?
Hitori Togusa Are you okay? I'm noticing that it's the really normal everyday memories that are starting to affect people the most.

Yoon-sung Lee It felt like just another day tbh, so yeah, very normal feeling.

Hitori Togusa Then maybe that's why it feels okay. You can't choose where you come from.
Hitori Togusa And home is still home, no matter what's going on.
Hitori Togusa But I'll take it, it's very different from where you originally came from? Let's just assume I'm asking this about the jungle and elephants.

Yoon-sung Lee You can say that.
Yoon-sung Lee I'm third generation chaebol from South Korea, so, yeah. It wasn't somewhere in the middle of a jungle.

Hitori Togusa Oh! I suppose I should have known that.
Hitori Togusa So what brought you here in the first place, just the company expansion?

Yoon-sung Lee I studied the last couple years of college in Boston when father decided that we were going to start up a branch here.
Yoon-sung Lee So I guess that's a yes.

Hitori Togusa Forgive me for not being familiar with your company structure. Is he still in charge at the main location, you're running the one Stateside?

Yoon-sung Lee That's right. He's the CEO of the main branch with a Board of Directors made up of other family members like Mother. I was sent here to be the Head Executive of the new branch.
Yoon-sung Lee You know, set up the office, find out talents here, get sales reps all situated, and the like. They figured that I am more familiar with the country then an older member of the controlling group.
Yoon-sung Lee It's also a test to see just how prepared I am to lead something more important when I get the okay to go back home.
