I hope our current situation didn't affect your mood lately. Because on behalf of Recolle Zoo and Aquarium, I would make a special announcement as one of the organizers for this event.
On May 20-21, there will be the Recolle Springtime Fair being held on Recolle Square. The theme for this year is American Style Cultural Festival, which means you can expect some rides you know from any theme parks like the Coney Island such as Tilt-A-Whirl, Merry-Go-Around (yes, I'm aware that the horses are also replaced with Chocobos), and of course, the Ferris Wheel.
Of course, there will be a variety of booths available from our sponsors and volunteers, so I hope you can enjoy the food and games they have to offer.
Also, I would like to announce our main events for this year's fair. First off, there will be two auctions for this year. For anyone who needs some extra help in their business, there is the Service Auction at May 20 where you can bid for the participants' services. Sign-ups for the participants will take place on-site and cut-off time will be 12:00 PM.
As for everyone else, there is the silent auction where you can bid on some blind gift baskets that may contain some interesting goodies inside.
Don't worry, most of the proceedings from the auctions as well with the booths will go to Recolle Zoo and Aquarium's Endangered Animal Preservation.
And last, but not least, there will be an Annual Pet Show being held on May 21. The grand prize for first place winners will be a year supply of food for your furry friends as well a gift certificate from one of our sponsors and two tickets to the Recolle Zoo and Aquarium. So I wish you and your pet some good luck for the show.
So with all of that said, I will see you in the Springtime Fair very soon. (If we were able to return back to our normal size, I hope...)
Augustine Sauveterre It's just mean that you're bidding that person's services for a fee. Augustine Sauveterre I don't know about more of the details though, but it is for some businesses who might need an extra hand or so.
Yukine Matsuoka if someone signed up for it, how much does the person get from the auction? Yukine Matsuoka like is part of it donated or put into fair costs?
Augustine Sauveterre Usually about $10-20, but it depends on the person's conditions. Augustine Sauveterre And you're right. While 6% of the proceedings will go to the Endangered Animal Preservation like I've mentioned in my post, some of them also cover the costs of the fair.
This sounds like it could be a good way to pass the time. I do hope to help out in the service auction, but you are going to make sure that this doesn't happen before our current 'predicament' has resolved itself, yes?
Point taken. Besides, with these many people having some interests on joining the service auctions, I doubt that cancellation would be a good option now.
[It's no joke as judging by the numbers of posts he got, he can tell that the service auction is very popular than the Pet Show.]
Everyone likes to do their good deeds. Better to do them throughout the year, so that Santa isn't looking at you like the child who tried to cram for the pop quiz in the last week before Christmas, no?
To be honest, I'm looking forward to the fair as well. Sure, I'm still one of the organizers, but for some reason, the Pet Show also accepts some of them to participate with one of their pets.
It isn't a bad thing to look forward to. Right about now, with insanity at our doorstep, having something to feel normal, like everything is ok, is not entirely bad. Don't let it lull you you into false security, but it isn't a bad thing.

Yukine Matsuoka wanted to suggest this to someone, but i wanted to make sure about the details first.

Augustine Sauveterre Are you planning to recommend the auction to your friend?

Also, I'm guessing you have plans for the fair, correct?

i'm gonna sign up for the services auction.
no subject
And that is good to hear. I hope your service will be a good help to anyone for the auction.

i'll probably offer some personal training or something. everyone always wants to get fit, so it's a sure fire way to get some money for the zoo.
no subject
I see. So you're going to work as a personal trainer for the auction, correct? That's not a bad idea.

i'm aiming to go olympic, so i know what i'm doing when it comes to working out and being safe in the gym.

The Olympic Games, eh? What kind of sport are you aiming for the gold medal?

[Yeah, he is aware of that considering that his motivations to become a college professor were because of his older brother.]

[Considering that he spent some of his time investigating the Retrospec app, a quick change of pace should be nice.]
