Hello! I'm Ainsley.

I was hoping to ask for some help in some things right now. It would mean a lot to me if I could have a moment of your time.

First thing is that I was wondering if there's anyone who has knowledge re: occult and cults and things like that. It's because I learned that I may have been part of a cult due to the strange titles they were using in a meeting in my memory. It's a long shot but it felt like to me that they were very important so there has to be some evidence of them being here. Right?

Anyways these were what the titles that were being used in my memory. They must have some meaning behind them.

[ she starts to list them off in her post: the moon, the magician, the tower, and so on. for some it'll soon become obvious that she's listing off titles that belong to the major arcana of tarot cards. really. ]

The second thing is that I need help in translating letters I got last month. Strange, I know, but this is not as threatening compared to the last thing they gave me so I suppose that's a step up.

A lot of them are in languages I don't know all that well. Like Japanese and French and the like. If anyone can help me out with this, I would be very grateful and be willing to pay you for your time in this. I should warn you though that a lot of the text seems to be missing from the letters so I'm sorry if it doesn't make sense.

[ eventually she can be seen jogging over to their meeting spot and-

oh god. she actually did carry her telescope with her with nothing else on her person. was she lugging that around with her all day like she said earlier? did she?? ainsley what is wrong with you.

well... strange tendencies or not, she's got a big smile on her face as she stops just in front of ardyn and manages a snappy salute in greeting. ] Ainsley Menodora reporting for stargazing duty! Hope I'm not too late.

[Ainsley.... he can't believe that she's actually carried all of that all the way out here. At the very least, she could have called and he would've come over to help. He sighs with exasperation, shaking his head, though he can't quite dispel all of his vague amusement.]

You would've been here faster if you would've just asked for a bit of help, you know.

[But. He's glad to see that smile, coupled with a cheesy salute. He gives her a dramatic bow in return, as greeting. So dramatic.]

Still, it's good to see you again. It feels like an eternity.

I needed the exercise! Been a while since I did anything that wasn't yoga and jogging. [ and she had completely forgotten that was a thing she could have done with how busy she had been today. whoops.

but no need to tell her friend that. not when she's too busy trying to not laugh when he bows in reply. already she's grateful they're taking the time to hang out like it was old times. when the world wasn't trying to spin on its axis in the complete opposite direction.

while she continues to speak, she sets the telescope down and begins to make adjustments to it, opening her notebook to check some coordinates and settings she already had in mind. ]

Well- You can help now by giving me a hand in setting up the telescope. Apparently tonight is the night when you get to see the 1st Quarter Moon of the month! I've been meaning to catch one since February but I've been too busy to see the stars. A shame too since apparently this year is supposed to be a treat for stargazers.

A shame, indeed. We're on our way to fixing it now, though. What better night than tonight to admire the heavens from the earth below?

[And with that dramatic statement, Ardyn will gladly help Ainsley set up the telescope. Since she's come so prepared already, it doesn't take long before things are ready to go!]

So, first Quarter Moon, is it? How fortuitous. Would you like to look first?

[ she shakes her head, her smile bright and bubbly. excited as she is to finally have a chance to properly stargaze, it's a rare event nowadays to share it with friends.

so she gestures for him to step up on the plate, opening her notebook to a fresh page as she begins to write something down. ]

Feel free to have the first look! I'm just going to jot down some notes first. Tell me what you see, okay?

All right.

[And so Ardyn will indeed take the first look, situating himself to do so. The night sky is clear and peaceful, and he's thankful for it. Tonight will be a fun little distraction, as he had hoped for it to be.]

Well, I see the moon. [The simplicity of that statement was something of a joke. He follows through with a dramatic statement, as he's inclined to do.] Its bright glow a sharp contrast against the black of night. Hanging over us mere mortals, watching us live our lives below.
