RIP Izunia-san's Loyal Scarf. Sacrificed itself in a blaze of glory to save its master. A hero's funeral will take place tonight at 7PM at Ardyn Izunia's house. Please RVSP if you would like to attend. Dress code requirements: one loyal scarf. Please always cherish your scarves. You never know when one day they will just catch on fire and exit your lives forever. Love them and treasure them forever.

what a terrible loss. and to die so young, it's almost too much for the heart to bear. flames are the only fitting demise for it that does not heap indignity upon the whole ordeal, for the passionate indifference of fire cannot be moved by heroic deeds.

I am so glad to see another person who understands what a tragic incident this is. It moves my heart that everyone is uniting over this heroic scarf.

I hope to see you at the funeral where we may give our final regards to this brave warrior into the afterlife.

never. i seek to honor it instead by wearing the color that reigns over all the others, a color unmistakable and brilliant, radiant with beauty. that is the most fitting tribute i can give.

I wonder if there is enough time to find one when it's now summer.

oh, certainly there is. you simply need to look in less expected places. or ask for advice in your quest.

that goes without saying. i like to consider myself a little knowledgeable on matters of fashion, among other things.

Then would you say that a grey scarf might clash with my own silver hair and eyes? I feel like it might be bland overload.

it depends on the shade. something too close to your hair would seem matching in the boring way, but a much lighter or much darker variation of gray would provide an elegant neutral contrast. there's nothing wrong with neutrals, it's just easy to fall into the trap of things matching too much.

Perhaps I should ask you to be my personal wardrobe advisor. I would like to think that I have a rather good taste when it comes to clothing, but then again, a lot of people seem to think my uncle's scarves deserved this fiery death...

your uncle has a style all his own, that he will wear regardless of what anyone thinks. it's a level of confidence one has to respect. do you wish to be so bold?

I wish, but I'm not sure how well I could handle all the criticism and be as strong as Izunia-san.

I can gladly eat cat food and rotten fruits, but endless pestering about my clothes? Now I think that's too far

usually i'd think such daredevils would try their hands at braving hotter spices. or those candies with the bugs inside.

if it screamed, it was at the pain, not despair. i imagine a scarf of yours would face death bravely and with great dignity, nothing less.

I suppose, over the years, it has overcome many hardships and trying circumstances -- which in the end only build upon its character.

[Those "trying" circumstances probably being part of his wardrobe, let's be honest.]

your nephew already invited me. i couldn't break my promise to him and be absent. and don't worry, i'll adhere to dress code.

That's good to hear. We'll need your steadfast support. I think Souji feels more sorrowful than I about the entire ordeal.

the poor boy. i hope his heart can heal and mend from this incident, and that he doesn't remain mired in grief.

I do think this will provide some form of closure for him, in the end. One can only hope he doesn't carry this burden within himself forever.
