Maybe the world is fine...

So I've been thinking about this a lot, and I don't think blue and green are actually gone. I mean, we can't see them anymore, but I'm wondering if it's more like colorblindness than them actually changing the whole world.
Because, think about it. If blue were actually gone, they sky wouldn't be gray. The sky would be red. That's how light and our atmosphere work. We see it as blue because of refracted red light. I remember reading about it forever ago in a science textbook.
And if green were gone, we'd already be seeing the smaller plants starting to die, and they aren't, right? So they clearly still are...photosynthesizing. So. I'm not sure the world changed. I think this time it was us. And I can't decide if that's better or worse.

The plants aren't dead at the flower shop... well, not unless we cut them. So, I think you have a good point. They are messing with our perceptions, so that makes sense. It's us.

I think it's re-assuring. Knowing that the blue is still there, though it doesn't explain the things that are still full of color like my cloak.

Green, but yes. Anything they sent or changed is still the color it was. I'm sorry that your eyes are probably gray right now. You have such bright blue ones.

Sorry, what's happened to my friends has been on my mind lately. But your explanation makes me feel a little better. It would mean, if right, that you were fine. That we all just weren't seeing things right for now.

And you know me with my stubbornness. I accept answers I like more. They're still blue in that case. I just can't see it, but I can imagine it.

The problem is its another case like the chocobos and horses.
Everyone ive asked have no clue what blue or green could be.
I looked up songs and movies that should reference them and they dont anymore.
Unlike the chocobo and horses situation though nothing replaced blue and green.
Which frankly im grateful. I dont need to try figuring out a colour i never knew existed.

yes so the point comes back to: congratulations
you were changed forcibly without warning
and the majority of the world around you does not notice and does not care
so this time sure its the way our eyes work
but its been how our memory works the whole freaking time
overwriting what used to be true to replace it with a new truth
alternative facts that just become
it

We will be fine. Beware. He's sending out surveys every once in a while, it seems. Mocking us by asking what we want back to normal. Most of us haven't gotten one yet.

Why do you prefer it that way?

Yeah its certainly interesting. Its a similar situation where information was changed but this time it couldnt have REALLY changed as you said!
Otherwise wed be fucked.
And oh gosh off the top of my head the whos behind blue eyes and green eyes by coldplay!
They have this odd... static? I cant hear where the word should be.
And then theres movies! Blue velvet? Nope. The green mile? Nada. I cant really make it out.
So what i gather from this is... they couldnt truly change it? Maybe?

I agree, these colors are not gone. The Retrospec logo is still blue, and some people still own blue and green objects, so we still retain our ability to recognize them in specific instances

[...]

I don't want to forget you. I think I understand the fear. One is more global, but the other hints that they could take this away from us.

And even if we hate the hallucinations, the alternative has become much much worse.

But how can our perception be altered while allowing for exceptions? Those who are not in this app don't remember what blue or green are. And mentions of these colors have disappeared from printed other media as well, same as the references to non-dancing lemons and horses. So is it really us who were changed this time?

Haha yes indeed!
Instead of a copy paste.
But i wonder what that means? What determines the way they change the world?

Kazuhira Miller I was suspecting it was color-blindness myself. Like they're controlling what we're allowed to see.

The colors are still gone, regardless of "how." Even if you're right, what are you expecting by posting this? A pat on the back? Retrospec is still in control of the situation.

I don't know what it means, but the world isn't changing from where they stand. Or if you're wiped of Retrospec memories. Everything is always normal. There's just what, two hundred of us lucky suckers who think everything's been screwing up since February. Who's really nuts here?

Not just trying, they've done it. Now we need to strip the paint back off, however that works.

well they couldn't be GONE gone anyway if the retrospec logo (and janet's eyes i guess?) are still blue could they?
so it's like they really did just slap on a filter?

my question is still how they did it though

Forget plants, they'd survive on red light anyway. The proof is in front of all of us; we're discussing this on RGB screens that don't just display in red.
