[ooc: the open log for this mini expedition will be up on the 18th, for anyone who would like to have their character join! Nothing too exciting other than getting stuck in an infinite loop and attempting to escape said infinite loop will happen...probably ;3 I decided against making a post in the OOC comm for this so if you have any questions, feel free to PM me!]
Minako Arisato
June 9th near Birch HillsHi everyone, it's me again. I'll try and keep it short and sweet this time.
First. Last month, during that week when everyone was super tiny, there were a lot of people who wandered into the woods because they heard voices calling out to them. It doesn't seem like whatever was calling to us is there anymore, thankfully, but I think this is a perfect chance to go back and go deeper into the forest, as deep as we can go to see if we can find the source of those voices, or anything else that might be there. I'm planning this thing for the 18th, and I wanted to know if anyone else wanted to come with. Keep in mind that even if nothing is likely to lure us in again, there's still a potential for danger. So in my opinion, the bigger the group, the better. We can all watch each other's backs.
Which brings me to my next point. I know a lot of people have been exploring all the weird places in the city, and eventually I'd like to get accounts from you guys to compile together-- but for now, I wanted to ask if we could make a more concerted effort to explore together, instead of splitting up into our own tiny groups. The main reason being: Jim is constantly watching our movements and reading our posts. He's the only one we have any kind of contact with from Retrospec, and he's shown us in the past couple of months that he likes commenting on what we do and how we act. There's no telling if anything he says might be able to help us down the line, but in order to get him to talk at all, we have to get his attention. And a big group of people poking around for information on Retrospec is a lot more comment-worthy than tiny groups.
Obviously there's a risk of exposing ourselves too much to him (though I'd argue we're pretty exposed as it is already). And I can't stop people from exploring on their own. I just wanted to put the idea out there that it might be better to do it together.
There's one last thing I want to mention. Yosuke recently suggested that my dog Koromaru should try sniffing out a Retrospec employee by smelling something that was sent by mail. I'm not sure if it'll work, but me and Koromaru are willing to give it a try, so if you get something in the mail from Retrospec and want to let us have a go at it, text me any time of the day or night, I'll come running. Oh, and just to be safe, don't touch the box or wrapping it comes in.
Thanks for reading. Hopefully I'll have something more fun to talk about the next time I post here.

On the subject of going with others, I agree that we should probably coordinate better. Perhaps there's a value in doing some public treasure hunting.
[In reality, she really thought the opposite, though she did agree that not exploring alone was best. She didn't want Jim's attention, didn't want him to know what they'd found out, but this was a way to play for the cameras, and diversions were important in this business too.]

I won't go alone, don't worry! I seem to have a tiny army willing to go with me, so I'm covered on that front haha
thanks Chloe, I know it seems kind of reckless but I think it's good to show that we're a united front against Retrospec. Organizing something big like this is one way to do it

Mohammed Hefaz In addition, we could look into historical buildings. The video does bring up the possibility this project is connected to the founding of this city.
no subject
I think we definitely should
Minako Arisato I wonder how many buildings in the city are deemed 'historically important' though
Minako Arisato it might be hard to get into them and poke around without seeming suspicious

I have no fear of exposure to Retrospec, given the pictures they have already sent me.
And if nothing else, my physical strength will be useful if anything happens.

thank you Cleo, having you along will be a great help
I'm glad some other girls have decided to come along too, I was worried it'd just be me and a tiny army of guys...

please take me with you! I..... think I can sense ghosts? I can't always see them but I can hear them really well.
maybe that'll change if I keep looking for them.
all I know is I could talk to the spirits in the forest last time.
I need to go back.
no subject
of course Sorey, I'm not going to stop you, in fact knowing what you can do I'm glad you want to come with
what happened the last time, though? Did you get lured deeper into the forest by the spirits? And do you know who the spirits were?

Anything that might solve this mystery is a worthwhile endeavor.

at this rate I might have to split the group into two or maybe even three, this is more volunteers than I was expecting

Why would anyone want to go back to woods after all of that? I just got out of there with someone and it was NOT a good experience.
no subject
but now that it's relatively safer to check it out, I think we should
if there's something in the woods that might put all of us in danger, better that we find out about it now

I'm used to being put in a leadership position but I'm going to be stretched thin if there are this many volunteers, and a lot who I don't know
I might need to nominate someone to help me organize this

I hope we don't come across a scenario where we'll be lost enough to need your skills, but the more prepared we are, the better off we are, right?

If you need something that got sent to people, I've got something. It got sent to me pretty recently and I haven't touched it much since, so it should still have a strong scent for your dog to pick up on.
no subject
haha we'll have to see, Korochan is a Shiba Inu and from what I know of them they're not meant to be tracking dogs...but he's a lot smarter than the average one, so he might be able to manage something
where can we meet you?
