I'm taking a poll here, because I have no idea what to make of all these hallucinomemories.

Is anyone else remembering stuff from actual history? As in, straight out of the textbooks. I wasn't sure of it until I got my history final back, but there's a few questions on there that I didn't know the answer to and had to guess on, based on what I remembered. And I got them all right.

And if anyone else is remembering real history: are all of your hallucinomemories real? Because I'm pretty sure mine are a mix of real history and a bunch of crap they threw in just to mess with me.

Is it a real place in Japan, or like a fictional Japan?

It seems like a pretty ordinary place.

A park, a high school, that sort of thing.

I haven't seen a street sign or anything to indicate where it might be though. I'm assuming it is just ordinary Japan though.

Makes sense. Most of what I remember, I don't know where exactly it took place. A little bit in America, a little bit in Germany, you get the idea.

I only remember the actual locations of two places. A town called Bastognne, Belgium and some woods in Russia near a town called Kalach.

Definitely WW2. I don't remember any exact dates, but Wikipedia says Operation Uranus was 1942, and I remember being a part of that.

Wouldn't that make you at least 93 then?  75 years between now and 1942, then 18 minimum to enlist?

Obviously I wasn't actually there, I'm still in high school. I just remember being there somehow. Like I'm remembering it for someone else.

And for the record, I was younger. I don't know what year it was supposed to be, but I do remember the army recruiting me when I was 15.

Remembering it for someone else. That's new. All of my memories were definitely of me. And the same for everyone else I talked to.

And 15? I didn't know recruitment drives were taking people that young in 1942.

Well, it was still me--I still had my name and face and everything. But obviously it wasn't me, because I wasn't alive in the 1940s. Like reincarnation--except I don't think reincarnation is supposed to be the exact same person.

I don't think they were either. I was kind of a special case.

That seems as plausible as anything else given what's been happening lately.

Yeah, makes about as much sense as anything else.

Who knows.  Maybe you're the Eradicator, like in those old movies with Arnold Schwarzenjaeger?

And mostly I meant why would I go back in time to walk dozens of miles through the freezing Russian winter. I could've killed Nazis in nicer weather, at least, if I'd had a choice.

Nah, I wish. I remember freezing my ass off out there, on top of everything else.

Aren't reincarnations supposed to be born right when somebody dies?

Because I am definitely not the reincarnation of some guy who died in the 40s. I'm not that old.

Unless you can think of a tie between modern Japan and WW2 battlefields.

My memories are connected to other people though, which is strange.  But all in modern Japan.

[Well, except for the whole 'we may also be a band that goes from place to place fighting monsters inside the TV' but...]

Connected as in, actually remembering each other in modern Japan? Or you just all happen to remember Japan and assume you all knew each other?

We remember one another. Though admittedly, not always at the same time. I've definitely seen at least Minako Arisato, the Narukami twins, Naoto Shirogane, and Yosuke Hanamura. There are others too, but they aren't students here. I've never met them in my life.

Whoa. I haven't heard of people remembering each other through the Retrospec memories before.

What's different about them here versus what you remember?
