... i'm haunted by the lives that i have loved ...
Surei Doushi
6/20 near ApprassageHi everyone. a lot has happened in the past few months and Retrospec seems to be pulling in more and more people. we don't have all the answers yet and it's pretty scary at times...
to make things even weirder, there are multiple people who have encountered spirits in the woods
like myself
call them ghosts or specters -- whatever they are, they used to live here and they're agitated about something. I don't know what that is but I want to find out
I'll be exploring a different area rumored to have spirits and other weird things happening there. someone suggested we work together so I'm opening this up to everyone. if you want to come, let me know and I'll give you the details privately. bring a flashlight and a camera if you have one.
if we do run into them, the shades respond best to people who are friendly and polite. be courteous to your elders and all
that's about it. if we find anything I'll be sure to let everyone know.
[ooc: ooc signups + a teeny bit more plot info is here! Please make sure to take a look!]

so yeah, I wouldn't go alone even if you're curious.
I'd love to have your help though!
we'll be in a group so if anything happens we can help each other out
okay I'm curious --
how do you make a flashlight?
no subject
And it's really, really, really easy to make a flashlight. All you need is batteries, wires, a tiny lightbulb, and a container to keep the stuff together. Tape too but that's a given. :P You connect the wires to the batteries and have that connect to the lightbulb. Put it in the container and ta-da! You got yourself a flashlight.

anyway, flashlights aren't terribly expensive so I'll pick up a couple really basic ones for the trip.
[This kid seems PRETTY YOUNG if the profile picture is anything to go by, but Sorey's a student teacher. He knows how to wrangle kids, and he doesn't expect anyone to get hurt unless they trip and fall.]
just doublechecking but -- are you allowed to be out late? we'll be going after dark
no subject
'Course I am!
Just gotta tell mom I'm going out and call her before and after we're done with the trip. She won't mind.
[ admittedly one of the better things to happen since getting the app is realising mom doesn't find any of the stuff happening weird. so going in a forest possibly filled with spooky ghosts? the most she'll do is sigh and tell him to not complain when she went to wake him up for school the next morning. ] Boy scout's honour! I'll behave and listen to orders and everything. I don't wanna mess this up for you or the others since this seems really important.

oh okay! that's great! I'll make sure you get home at a relatively decent time.
I think you'll do fine. just be quiet and keep your eyes open. you're here to observe like any good scientist in the field
[... He's also seen that last name before.]
do you know Leo?
no subject
Of course I do! He's my big brother and he's the best big brother ever!!!
no subject
I can see him being a great big brother for sure
no subject
[ most importantly: leo wasn't hurt or anything from that trip to the woods?? ]
no subject
nothing bad happened, just some spooky whispering and trees moving
wandering in circles, that sort of thing
I think I creeped Leo out more than the ghosts did
no subject
But I'm glad you two are safe. You mentioned the ghosts were agitated in your post and I was worried they might have, you know, gone all super scary ghosts on you.
no subject
he made it home in one piece, didn't he?
the ghosts kept mumbling and circled the camp until sunrise but it wasn't violent at all.
the most violent thing was someone threatening to chop down the trees
obviously we didn't let her
