Hi everyone. a lot has happened in the past few months and Retrospec seems to be pulling in more and more people. we don't have all the answers yet and it's pretty scary at times... to make things even weirder, there are multiple people who have encountered spirits in the woods like myself call them ghosts or specters -- whatever they are, they used to live here and they're agitated about something. I don't know what that is but I want to find out I'll be exploring a different area rumored to have spirits and other weird things happening there. someone suggested we work together so I'm opening this up to everyone. if you want to come, let me know and I'll give you the details privately. bring a flashlight and a camera if you have one. if we do run into them, the shades respond best to people who are friendly and polite. be courteous to your elders and all that's about it. if we find anything I'll be sure to let everyone know.

I don't like it either.
I've been thinking and... what if what changed is related to the changes we've been having?
they could be just like us. we just don't know, and we won't until we get some real answers.
I promised I'd help them and I intend to do it however I can.

whatever happened tore their lives apart.
they care about us so maybe they want to keep it from happening again

that's just conjecture at this point, though.

I don't know if we're going to get to the bottom of this, but we've gotta do something.
I get this feeling Jim isn't going to care about the plight of the ghosts in the woods.

I've heard of people just ... forgetting about Retrospec entirely, like nothing happened.
they're ghosts so they're not bound to the same rules we are
there's nothing making them forget about horses for example

it makes you wonder what they could tell us

Forgetting about Retrospect? Really? That's one of the weirdest things I've heard yet.
I guess that's a way to confirm how much has changed without us being aware of it, if they're not bound by the same rules.
If we're able to communicate with them, that is.

it's weird to think about, but if they can control our memories somehow...
it'd be easy for Retrospec to do that.

I'll ask questions. I can't promise the spirits will say anything back
but if they do, I know I can hear them

This is kind of funny saying, since this is the first I've heard of them, but I want to help them out, you know?

I don't think it's funny or weird at all.
people don't exist in a vacuum, it's in our nature to reach out to others
it's instinctive to want to connect to them and help them.

they used to live here just like we do

And they're stuck here, for some reason.

I don't know what keeps some people around after they die, and not others, but something has kept them here without being able to move on.

Doing something about it definitely sounds good to me.

it could be a lot of things.
I'm not exactly a ghost expert, but strong emotions or attachments to something would make sense to me.
these spirits displayed some of that in how they felt about the city

I wonder if there's something special about this city in particular-- I don't remember anything bizarre like the sky suddenly turning grey when I lived abroad, but then again I guess I might not have been aware.
