hi guys! quick question one of my bingo squares is to dress in the opposite of my aesthetic for a week which I think means dressing like a preppy girl, probably (bluh!) but the trouble is I don't own any clothes like that! so, does anybody have any preppy looking clothes I can borrow for a little while? like khakis, brand name stuff, anything on this list basically (it would all be in a girls size small btw) on a related note @James can you cover for me at the mall while this is going on for obvious reasons I don't want the gang to know it's me

None of my clothes are going to fit you (medium men's, sorry) but I might be able to help with the accessories? Bracelets are a no-go unless you have really big wrists and I'm more of a tie person than a necklace person, but earrings should work.

No pineapples, but I've got a few sets of studs. Mostly gold, silver, or garnet.

That should be fine! I don't think they're going to ding you for one pair of earrings. And red is obviously the best color.

but that's arguably not a color so I don't feel as bad about it

A lot of it is less about color and more about what you do within that color. You can absolutely wear pastel red and still look preppy, but the darker hues and bright neon red are harder to pull of while keeping that look.

Even black you can work in, though it can't be the focus color. Black stockings work if your shirt+skirt/dress are pastel or light colored - not white though, monochrome won't work for this - or if you have a pastel colored shirt you can pair that with a black skirt and you'll be fine.

Yeah, I don't usually talk about her much on here since she's not involved with this dumb app (thank GOD). You've probably seen her around at school at some point, though.

If they'd shun you for something as dumb as wearing something not black, then they're not worth your time. That's the whole reason we dress up in all the dark clothes and chains to begin with--to give conformity the middle finger. If they'd toss you out for not conforming, then they're just as much The Man as The Man is.

well it's not so much about wearing non-black things
it's because you don't get much more conformist than preppy fashion!
so it's like... wearing the flag of the "enemy," sort of
obviously I don't really think of it that way but I know Nancy does for instance
you'd think cheerleaders killed her parents, except she also hates her parents
