So a thumbprint lock is hard to break into?

Uh, yeah? That's the whole point of them.

Huh. And here I thought the movies were right about people opening them faster than normal locks.

Well yeah, it's faster to hold your thumb or whatever up to a scanner for half a second than it is to fiddle with keys.

But if you don't have the right prints, then it won't open, period. You'd have to pull some superspy fingerprint falsifying stuff to break into that.

I've been watching a lot of spy movies the past couple weeks. I'm not sure why since I usually like rom/coms.
