Not exactly mad. More like upset.

[He gets why Zoro walked away when he did and that he only meant well with his parting words, but ....it still hurt. Cutter is teenager enough to feel a petty sort of upset at it, even though he is also man enough to realize that Zoro was only being honest and true to himself rather than faking anything to make Cutter like him and that that's actually admirable. It's one of the stupid cases where his head and his brain can't agree.]
