mr. kaiyou asked about extra manpower. we can't really grant access to anyone other than we have now unless someone switches out, and i can't unlimit the people the doctor put on probation, but you can all consult with one another so long as you're in network areas although in some locations you may only be able to reach your actual team consultant if you were assigned one. or one another if you were not. i'd advise you to maybe try not to get put on probation on here but i can't really stop you if you do. so i'll just say that this is still being monitored and none of you are actually required to work with us, so. please allow the people who are trying to the time to do so. i did warn mr. kaiyou it's a possibility. Maurice Fitzwilliam Intern Retr ![]() Please be advised monsters from the Bestiary can still be found around town. The convention center is still wrecked as well! Other damage can be found around town such as broken windows, some destroyed buildings, etc. Strangely, the monsters were courteous and left people's homes alone (for the most part.) Please note: this mingle is for Group One and Group Three members. Those of Group Two are still missing and time is still moving normally. This means they have been gone for one week as of today.
Group One and Group Three members may continue to create their own posts and logs about the state of affairs, though this post is a good time to link up and discuss what's happening city-side. Please feel free to use this post as a network mingle. Every toplevel can be considered a new post, and threadjacking is permitted. No NPC response will be given. Usernames are the character's full real AU names, not aliases or chosen nicknames or usernames, and seemed to have filled themselves in; nothing characters do can change or obscure their names currently. |

[That's his guess, anyway?]
Since it's kinda dire and personal sleights can be addressed later - if they're around. Don't think they will be, but we'll see.

[you know. because he mentioned them earlier.]
But I'll see what I can do. At the least I can do my best to be present when communications are happening and run interference. We're not volatile so much as we have a few strong personalities ready to go all shoved into one room.
[including herself, but Baren doesn't need to know about berserker mode.]

[god bless robomaid....]
Nah - I've met a couple of 'em. Your group sounds like a handful. If you need another drink, no judgment
[honesty??]

[she says this and promptly takes a huge drink out of her glass, coughing as it hits her but feeling like this is what she desperately needed.]
Someone came to me, bleeding in several places, and asked for a band-aid. Like that's going to be enough. If this is just the first week...

[just
blandly
he bets it was Z]

[Zoro don't be a fool.]
no subject
How bad is he? He's shit at taking care of himself so if you have any special instructions for his injuries, let me know.
[just going.... full housewife apparently....]

[finishing off this glass, Grell reaches to pour herself another. fast, she knows, but she earned it.]
I wish I was in another medical branch, I'd be even more helpful...surgery would have been good.
no subject
Nah, you're plenty helpful. You shouldn't have to think of different ways to save people's lives from their own stupidity.

[that's the one thing she feels fortunate about. despite the hellishness that's come down in this past year, she hasn't seen a face she's recognized from Retrospec there. despite how eerily low this crime rate is. it gives her more time to cobble together learning from other disciplines and somehow turn it into a functional enough diagnostic model with a dash of treatment advice thrown in.]

[and like
whoever z has
baren???? He runs a hand through his hair thoughtfully, then hums.]
I know we get bad service underground, Miss Sutcliffe, but if you need anything else besides just rope you can contact me personally and I can probably get my hands on it for you. Just sounds like a lot of idiots to manage alone.
no subject
The same goes for you. I can't offer myself to come with you, but if you let me know how many are in your team, I can put together some medical supplies for you to take on this journey. If you end up needing advice or the like, you're free to message me as well.
no subject
13, if you could. I'll reimburse you.
[no hesitation, because he doesn't see a reason in wasting time when people might be in trouble. he's used to doing everything on his own, but sometimes his expertise doesn't go far enough.]
And - do you have advice for burns? Or even frostbite.... Electric shocks?
[talk about specific but here we are]
no subject
Burns require cold water or icing, as well as antibiotic cream - very minor ones can probably do okay with just care around the area. For second degree, you can handle a small one without assistance, but you'll want to actually seek help if it's larger or you've gone to third degree. For the love of god, don't open the blisters on your own and keep it wrapped regardless.
If you're dealing with frostbite, I'm not sure what you've been facing, but if you can get yourself out of there as soon as possible, take what's been hit and immerse it in as warm water as you can stand, or just use your own body heat. It'll burn as you get feeling back, but I admit this is not an area I'm skilled in. Electric shocks...treat the area the way you would a burn, but what you're really keeping an eye out for is nerve damage. Make sure you can still move everything, that you still feel sensation, that your heart's not gone out of control or slowed too much.
Again, if anything's severely dangerous or someone's at real risk, retreat and find help - lie to the hospital and say it happened while fending off monsters while trying to get in your car or something, they'll believe you.

He's taking this seriously and - considering the fact that she's a doctor and he's already outed himself as someone who Gives a Shit, he doesn't bother hiding it. He hums faintly at that, and then runs a hand through his hair. There's a slight jingle of hair bells once he reaches the end.]
Mm.... Got it.
Retrospec's got some weird robots in their basement that enjoy picking a fight and, y'know, can shoot out fire, electric shocks, and ice at will, I guess.
There was another robot in there that apparently adapted to attacks.... [a small annoyed sound] You wouldn't happen to know an engineer, would you, doc?
no subject
[that sounds like a hell of a lot, though.]
How'd you end up finding robots in the basement?
no subject
[YUP. Anyway - ]
There was another one in a different room that was holding onto one of the medallions we needed to get into the generator room.
Did you see a trend in the monsters you were fighting by any chance?
no subject
[she pauses, sipping from her glasses.]
Nothing inorganic. No complicated weaponry. Only one came solitary, and it was the biggest of them. Those are the only trends I can recall at this moment.
no subject
[goddamn. Baren shakes his head.]
Not bad to keep track of, at least. If these unrealities at least have themes, it'll help people be better prepared for fighting against whatever shows up.
