mr. kaiyou asked about extra manpower. we can't really grant access to anyone other than we have now unless someone switches out, and i can't unlimit the people the doctor put on probation, but you can all consult with one another so long as you're in network areas although in some locations you may only be able to reach your actual team consultant if you were assigned one. or one another if you were not.

i'd advise you to maybe try not to get put on probation on here but i can't really stop you if you do. so i'll just say that this is still being monitored and none of you are actually required to work with us, so. please allow the people who are trying to the time to do so. i did warn mr. kaiyou it's a possibility.

Please be advised monsters from the Bestiary can still be found around town. The convention center is still wrecked as well! Other damage can be found around town such as broken windows, some destroyed buildings, etc. Strangely, the monsters were courteous and left people's homes alone (for the most part.) Please note: this mingle is for Group One and Group Three members. Those of Group Two are still missing and time is still moving normally. This means they have been gone for one week as of today.

Group One and Group Three members may continue to create their own posts and logs about the state of affairs, though this post is a good time to link up and discuss what's happening city-side.

Please feel free to use this post as a network mingle. Every toplevel can be considered a new post, and threadjacking is permitted. No NPC response will be given. Usernames are the character's full real AU names, not aliases or chosen nicknames or usernames, and seemed to have filled themselves in; nothing characters do can change or obscure their names currently.

Hitori Togusa Mr. Solo. Hadn't heard from you in a while.
Hitori Togusa A number of us were sent markers to certain points around the city. I was with a group that went into the basement of the Retrospec building.
Hitori Togusa They were light on the specific details, because apparently a number of Retrospec employees disappeared along with our friends. Including one of the people who knows how to make this stop. So it was hard for Mr. Fitzwilliam to explain what was going on.

i was trying to ignore this nonsense for a while and clear my head. you can see how that went.

they can't even keep their own from getting involved in their disasters? how incompetent can they be?

[Ren almost wishes said employees would stay disappeared, but he would like for things to stop being "broken," for lack of a better word. Perhaps if just the one person returned and the rest of them stayed trapped wherever they were...]

it's not surprising they wouldn't want to reveal all of their secrets.

Hitori Togusa I'd wait until I know what they were doing before I say they were incompetent. We're still going to work to get them back. We don't have the power to fix this without them.
Hitori Togusa I'm willing to believe that Retrospec had something planned, there were too many hints and specifics leading up to this. But I'm pretty sure this didn't go to their plan.

well, if they wanted to throw their own to the wolves, then i suppose they did a fantastic job.

[Good job, Retrospec, on being a bunch of sociopathic dickwads.]

i understand the need to retrieve them, even if i hate it. try not to risk yourselves any more than necessary.

[Even that piece of garbage who's yelling at him for venting is worth more than even the most valuable "employee" of that horrid organization.]

Hitori Togusa If it'll get my fellow officers back, I'll risk nearly anything.
Hitori Togusa But, the Retrospec employees, they count, don't they? Citizens of this city, they fall under that whole 'protect and serve' mandate, too.

don't be stupid about it.

[Self-sacrificing types are so annoying, don't be cliche.]

don't be so sure. i doubt they actually exist in any city records. and after what they've done to us and the dangerous things they've unleashed recently, i wouldn't say they have the right to that protection anymore.

Hitori Togusa I don't get to pick and choose who my job applies to.
Hitori Togusa But we can agree that it applies to the 40 or so missing people that we've got. So, don't worry, I'm keeping them foremost in my mind. We've got two missing officers.

all the more reason i'm not a cop, i suppose.

[If Ren can't completely believe in what he's working for, then he's not going to bother. Letting someone else decide what his choices are isn't exactly something he's interested in.]

in the best case scenario, they'll all be together and they'll have those officers to help any of the rest who can't defend themselves. we can hope for that until some kind of clue to finding them shows up.

[Because as far as he's read, they've got nothing yet.]
