forty year old woman seeks nightlife in the monster city
Okay at this point I'll basically take anyone.
[ Wesker is missing. Both her sons are missing. she herself has been injured a few times now and she has freaking super strength. It's the dead of the night and she's resting up in a manor filled with no one but herself and cats. She was intending to go and drink a bottle of wine in her room, but she'd done that too much in the last two weeks and at this point she's just pissed off enough to make a tacky open retrospec post. ]
Anyone over twenty-one, that is.
Someone go out for a drink with me. Or feel free to recommend something else to do right now, I'll take whatever. Be prepared to fend off monster, I suppose.
That's just how life is now I suppose.
[ So I considered making an open action log but I opted not to so feel free to reply here with shitposting, actual responses, or we can transfer over to action in reply chains here, it's all good. ]

But I meant I don't need to be spelled out my son's been missing for weeks.
no subject
But yeah. I mean, this is a major enough even to make us cooperate with Retrospec, and you know how much people hate them. So, if nothing else, we'll probably get them back. Who knows, maybe good ol' Jim will be trapped in unreality forever now too.

You some sort of scifi nerd?
no subject
Yeah, I guess you could say that. More into cyberpunk, if anything. It's totally got my aesthetic.

And I'm kinda theatre nerd as well. Really, my interests are all over the place by conventional standards.
no subject
Yeah?
Pretty sure that unconventional's the new conventional these days, though
no subject
But yeah... so, you were mentioning going out for a drink? I could totally meet you at the Inkwell, if you want. I have time to kill.
no subject
Okay, Maggie?
[ This app's providing of names is so weird but convenient and also creepy ]
Got a better picture or should we do matching flowers or something?

[ That said she'll look her up...
... Huh, so she gets some people whining about wanting to see some more plays out of her, but it's not like she's hugely famous as far as this google is concerned. Maybe she's missing something. That said, there is a picture of a woman who looks ... maybe twenty-something. ah well, Elda looks young for forty. ]
But okay, try not to get beat up by monsters on the way there.
no subject
And can do.
no subject
[ . . . Okay she doesn't have something that absurd. Yet.
But either way, the 5' forty year old with purple hair and bright, red, somewhat reflective in the night eyes shows up for the Inkwell as soon as she can. She can drive and all so it's pretty fast, though she did need to stop once in order to fight something.
She doesn't have her oar, but a little cartoony bat is following her in. So let's see, where's that small time caleb? Or did she get there first? ]
no subject
"Hey."
[That's all she has to say at this point. Already we're off to a fine start.]
no subject
[ admittedly, she looks more 23ish than a teenager, but every bartender in their right mind would be wary.
She says this evenly and ... well she doesn't want to sit at the bar itself, that's tacky, let's go to one of these tables she's already been situated at. ]
Hello.
no subject
[And I mean... she's gonna be getting carded for the rest of her life soon enough, but for now, she at least has a hope for the future.]
"So... I suppose you're in the dark about this whole disappearance situation as well?"
no subject
Being tiny helps.
But all the same. ]
Only what we're been told by a scifi hologram about reality and storms and unreality.
no subject
[Well, she wasn't sure how much of it was the same, given that they did ask some very specific questions. Even so, same gist probably came across.]
"I presume you're not like the kids, getting completely lost with the terminology.S o you've figured this out to the extent you can with that info, right?"
no subject
Honestly, I'm still not sure I get it. We accepted to be volunteers because like hell I'm doing nothing when my son's missing. But thus far we've been looking for someone in a mystery room. Well, finding the room more like, this week.
no subject
[She was not going to go into the Absinthe antics but suffice it to say, shit went down. She was kinda jealous.]
no subject
[ Some library or... something. ]
no subject
[The next question she had in mind was, totally invasive but she was going to ask it anyways, and she hoped it wasn't going to far.]
"...You said your kids went missing. Who are they, exactly?"
no subject
You're going to get out first round after this, right?
[ Still, she said it, so she might as well answer. Her name's Elda Marker, but, ]
Toushiro Hitsugaya, he's fifteen. ... and Silver Bells. Eighteen.

[Empathy has never been one of Maggie's strengths from the beginning. She never exactly was one to just, "get it" when it came to these sorts of things. She knew it was bad, she knew it probably was hurting Elda, but even so. She wasn't sure what to say. Or how to feel. Or really, what she should be doing here at all. So she just lets her sentence trail off, her eyes drifting downwards as well, and then a bit of an awkward silence ensues between the two of them.]

[ She says firmly, though her own red eyes shift too. Not to look away, not really. Instead, they end up shifting in the pupils - they take on a more catlike appearance. ]
