It's the dead of the night and she's resting up in a manor filled with no one but herself and cats. She was intending to go and drink a bottle of wine in her room, but she'd done that too much in the last two weeks and at this point she's just pissed off enough to make a tacky open retrospec post. ]

Anyone over twenty-one, that is.

Someone go out for a drink with me. Or feel free to recommend something else to do right now, I'll take whatever. Be prepared to fend off monster, I suppose.

Kaz. What a fun name. She grins and nods. She'll see him there and they agreed on it already. So without much incident? She gets on over to the entrance and... well, she's got a profile to work off of? For her part, she's a 5' forty year old woman who looks young for her age (in part due to being tiny and in part due to her skin and in part due to her purple hair) and ... well, red eyes.

Kaz? Let's find us a Kaz. Unless he arrived first in which case egg on her face. ]

[ Good ol' retrospec, giving people red eyes and purple hair. It's cool. Kaz probably does arrive after her, if only because he's one of those guys who parks in reverse and tries to find the optimal parking space anywhere he goes.

Kaz is 6' 1", ripped and muscular but dressed fairly conservatively. So he looks like a beefcake but he's a nerd, in other words. ]

... ah well, she's used to it. she looks up at him with a smile and brushes some stray hairs over her shoulder. Oh, it's getting a bit more than shoulder length now, isn't it? She should get it cut. ]

No problem. Things have been so crazy this month, I can understand wanting to go out and just do something normal.

It kind of feels like I've spent more time playing in a real-life video game than going to work and stuff, lately.

[ In they go. They can rent a room for an hour and end up paying more if they go over... that should be fine. The attendant hands them a basket with two mics, some maracas, tambourines, and two huge song books. Classic karaoke experience, right? ]

I think this one is in order by artist, and that one is by song title.

I can't imagine how the month's been for people with jobs. I was considering getting a new one once the school year started again, but then bam, here we are and everything's gone insane.

But we shouldn't be on about that.

I'm pretty sure I've used up all of my sick days in the last month alone.

[ Kiryu leafs through the 'By Title' book. Maybe he'll find. You Give Love A Bad Name is his favorite song to start with, I'm sorry. Unfortunately it's also way in the back so it's gonna take him a bit. These books sure seem to have it all. ]

[ Elda's not committing to much of anything, just flicking through the songs, not recognizing some, being amused at others... really, she doesn't seem in much of a hurry here. she's never really done karaoke before, or if she did it was almost twenty years ago. ]

[ Kiryu chuckles a little, entering a couple of songs into the machine using the number pad. ]

Ah, sorry, I'm taken. I just really like karaoke.

[ And he's building up a queue of a few songs, but he doesn't want to just sing them all himself... that's no fun. ]

[ Eeesh, of course he is. but then he's too young for her in the first place. She waves her hand as if to show no, no, go ahead. ]
