forty year old woman seeks nightlife in the monster city
Okay at this point I'll basically take anyone.
[ Wesker is missing. Both her sons are missing. she herself has been injured a few times now and she has freaking super strength. It's the dead of the night and she's resting up in a manor filled with no one but herself and cats. She was intending to go and drink a bottle of wine in her room, but she'd done that too much in the last two weeks and at this point she's just pissed off enough to make a tacky open retrospec post. ]
Anyone over twenty-one, that is.
Someone go out for a drink with me. Or feel free to recommend something else to do right now, I'll take whatever. Be prepared to fend off monster, I suppose.
That's just how life is now I suppose.
[ So I considered making an open action log but I opted not to so feel free to reply here with shitposting, actual responses, or we can transfer over to action in reply chains here, it's all good. ]

Have you tried karaoke? It's a good way to kill time.

Bars are kinda empty with monsters around, anyway.
It should help you take your mind off things.
[ And yet, business continues as usual... ]

[ One day I'll actually submit a karaoke place since we're sorely lacking in an official one...... ]
Do you have a favorite genre or something?
no subject
but okay, let me look up where that is.
no subject
[ That's because you're from the 80s, Kiryu. ]
Meet you there in like half an hour?
no subject
But yes, she nods and then texts back. ]
Deal. Is your name actually the one shown here or are you one of those people with a different name here? I'm actually Elda Marker.
no subject
Ah, no. I'm Kazuma Kiryu, just like it says. Or "Kaz" works too. I look just like my picture.
[ wanna switch to action next? ]
no subject
Kaz. What a fun name. She grins and nods. She'll see him there and they agreed on it already. So without much incident? She gets on over to the entrance and... well, she's got a profile to work off of? For her part, she's a 5' forty year old woman who looks young for her age (in part due to being tiny and in part due to her skin and in part due to her purple hair) and ... well, red eyes.
Kaz? Let's find us a Kaz. Unless he arrived first in which case egg on her face. ]
no subject
Kaz is 6' 1", ripped and muscular but dressed fairly conservatively. So he looks like a beefcake but he's a nerd, in other words. ]
Elda, right?
no subject
... ah well, she's used to it. she looks up at him with a smile and brushes some stray hairs over her shoulder. Oh, it's getting a bit more than shoulder length now, isn't it? She should get it cut. ]
That's right, Elda Marker. Thank you for meeting me.
no subject
[ Obviously. The size difference is almost comical but they absolutely make it work. Somehow. You'll get vampire-length hair one day, Elda. ]
No problem. Things have been so crazy this month, I can understand wanting to go out and just do something normal.
no subject
[ Rolling her shoulders a little, let's... go on in ]
... Stressful, too.
no subject
[ In they go. They can rent a room for an hour and end up paying more if they go over... that should be fine. The attendant hands them a basket with two mics, some maracas, tambourines, and two huge song books. Classic karaoke experience, right? ]
I think this one is in order by artist, and that one is by song title.
no subject
[ Exhale ]
But we shouldn't be on about that.
[ She's going to the by artist one because let's see what's here. ]
no subject
[ Kiryu leafs through the 'By Title' book. Maybe he'll find. You Give Love A Bad Name is his favorite song to start with, I'm sorry. Unfortunately it's also way in the back so it's gonna take him a bit. These books sure seem to have it all. ]
We can probably order drinks here, too. For later if you want.
no subject
[ Elda's not committing to much of anything, just flicking through the songs, not recognizing some, being amused at others... really, she doesn't seem in much of a hurry here. she's never really done karaoke before, or if she did it was almost twenty years ago. ]
no subject
Ah, sorry, I'm taken. I just really like karaoke.
[ And he's building up a queue of a few songs, but he doesn't want to just sing them all himself... that's no fun. ]
Should I start, or do you want to go first?
no subject
[ Eeesh, of course he is. but then he's too young for her in the first place. She waves her hand as if to show no, no, go ahead. ]
I'll take the next one.
no subject
[ He's used to it? But then he puts himself in these situations, too. Kaz is a smooth operator, what can I say. Maybe one day he'll be in your age bracket, Elda. (Maybe not vampire age, but...)
For now though, he'll just start up You Give Love A Bad Name and if you need to see how passionate Kiryu is about karaoke please observe the following. ]
Shot through the heart, and you're to blame...
[ Belt it, Kiryu!!! ]

there was supposed to be a link in that last comment... html why
Feel free.
Hey man that happens
And her selection might be a little weird but hey, a tiny 40 year old more or less pureblood english woman can totally do this. Even if she's a bit higher pitched. She's definitely got it memorized at least. ]

Nice. Great job.
[ Is this a challenge? Is it his turn to pick a more embarrassing song? God. ]
