sanity chicken would be a good band name

all right fuck it
i was trying to avoid being That Crazy Person
but clearly everyone else is doing really well at sanity chicken
all edging around the topic or not bringing it up
or possibly it not being an issue for the majority though i am PRETTY fucking sure i can confirm it happening for at least like
nearly ten people maybe i dont know
so im just going to commit to my role as the crazy conspiracy theory guy
get me a whiteboard and some string you all
im ready to mark it up
wave goodbye sadly to my good name and all that
watch it circle the drain as i dump it in the toilet and watch it flush away
so anyway here we go

raise your fucking hand if youve had a very vivid hallucination of some sort
that felt super real
since you got this app
about a thing you definitely never remember yourself doing
also if youre going to go dave you sound like youve lost it
at least link me something entertaining off the internet to add some spice to what is sure to be a pretty common response
it isnt like yo remember when horses were a thing makes any of us sound any less ridiculous
so
admittedly i guess i could sound crazier
theres like a scale here
shit i should make a scale ill do that later
anyway

raise your hands or dont
go

Unfortunately, for some odd reason, he does not. For obvious reasons, I never went far down that path with him, though.

But it's happened more often than just the once with you? Just reading over these responses it looks like most other people only had the one.

I wish I could say it's some kind of classic medical case and you're overworking yourself or something of the like, even if you don't realize it. People don't realize how much stress they have until it's too late, a lot of times.

Something is telling me that's not it, though. It doesn't match up, even if the part of me that's worked in this doctor's office for so long wants to say there's a logical, medical and scientific reason for it.

But I think you're right that only people with the app know about horses. I know the power of suggestion can be rather powerful, but I've never heard of anything able to use subliminal messages this strongly.

I guess I'll keep tabs on the medical files and see if there's an influx of patients complaining of vivid hallucinations.

We'd be one of the first stops for it. It'll be easy to track.

But yes, I can confidently say that I'm only one out of two for 'crazy' on this.

That's very interesting.

Talking about it causes it to happen? That's very much a power of suggestion vein idea. There's been studies on the topic, but I'm sure that would just bore you.

I suppose it's worth doing some experimenting on, though. To see what may be a trigger.

If I see any patterns, though, I'll be sure to give a heads up where everyone can see it. That way, there's more evidence and more people alert.

We'll see, in the end, I guess. And I hate that I feel like I keep saying that since 'waiting for something to happen' seems to be all we've been able to do up to this point.

Now, I know it's a bit intrusive, but I'm curious: I see from a quick look at the discussions that it seems like it's auditory and visual hallucinations people are having, but since you seem to keep having them, is there anything that connects the hallucinations themselves?

A shared vision of some kind? That's rather hive-mind of you two.

As for something connecting them... think, maybe a common location? Or the same people through all or most of them? Or even does it feel like it could be relatively chronological? Like whatever you saw were in sequence?

Huh, so there's no real common thread yet except a minor thing featuring your sister, which makes sense...

Maybe if more come up, there'll be a common thread or something. Or maybe someone else will have one.

It's strange it seems to be contagious, though.

If you figure anything out, then let people know?

That is a disadvantage of being the first; you get to set a precedent. It can be difficult, but I think it needed to be done.

I'm sure if people can be of any help to you, though, they will.

It seems like most people realize we're in this together, at least.

Most.

Well, the standard offer still stands for everyone:

I know a good doctor if you want a psych evaluation.

Well, you at least know my name and where to look me up.

Actually, if you just look up 'Haibara' online, it should be one of the first results.

Still, this random stranger on the internet does wish for you to take care of yourself as best you can, because wishing ill isn't going to get anyone anywhere.

Sometimes, an ear is truly all someone needs to help work through their problems.

Not always, of course, but a listening ear is always helpful.

Then, I shall see you around.

Hopefully you don't go completely insane, and neither do I. Unless that's what they want us to do.
