But seriously don't. I lost a finger and I got nothing but dark miasma, everyone thinking I was a crazy person, and suffering. And only TWO of those are an ordinary part of my life. Nine fingered typing is infinitely harder than you would think it would be! It's really inconvenient and annoying. Along with, well, missing a pinkie. That's a bad thing.

So I'm putting this up here to make sure no one repeats my mistake, and at least, someone gets something out of this.

Why did you think it was a good idea in the first place?

...Did you not hear my little ramble? It's because I'm a terrible person! And I wanted to show this relic that I was willing to change that. And in order to change, you have to sacrifice something you already have. And you can't demonstrate mental sacrifice, so I just instead did a physical sacrifice.

I heard it, but it makes no more sense now than it did then! Do you not think staying around in a monster-infested bunker to help those who have gone missing would qualify? Why would you jump immediately to permanent disfigurement?!

That doesn't count, does it? After all, I did that because I had nothing better to do, so might as well accomplish something useful. Not out of the goodness of my heart or anything.

...And what do you know about being a bad person? Sitting there with that smug sense of moral superiority. Just because you are respected and validated for your typical beliefs, you think you're better than I am, huh?

I have no interest in comparing suffering or arguing moral superiority. Nor the social validities of our beliefs. But you yourself admit that your dismemberment was pointless, and counterproductive. Do you just not care about yourself at all?!

Of course I don't Cleo, if you want my honest opinion on the subject.

Why not?! And there are better ways to handle that than dismemberment!

I'm not accomplishing anything useful. And neither have I done so in the past. So, in the grand scheme of things, I'm pretty disposable, even if I would prefer living.
