Fiacre Lachance

Hi everyone. I know I've introduced myself on here before, but for those of you who don't know me, my name is Fai Lachance. I'm a social worker here in Recolle, and after I finish my masters program I'll be a licensed mental health professional.

Which brings me to my point. It's been a bad month, if not for all of us then certainly most of us. I want to again extend an offer to anyone who thinks they might want or benefit from counseling services. While again I should stress I am not yet licensed, I have practice with support groups and group therapy but I would be willing to try one-on-one counseling sessions if you would prefer to do this by yourself.

I have the next couple of weeks off of work, so I'm available most of the time if anyone would like to... make an appointment?? (Ha, I feel weird saying that!) And if anyone is interested in another support group session please let me know, we might be able to set something up.

Please let me know if you have any concerns or questions, and regardless of what anyone decides, good luck and have a great day ♥

((ooc: Psst, for any characters that are gossip hounds but may have missed it, this happened last month :3 ))

[Your talking to one of those people right now, Fai.]

Its the same with students at the university; a lot of students need encouragement to seek help or guidance.

[She's not gonna go into student confidentiality and all that, but there's quite a few pits she's had to help people out of.]

I'm Katherine Takada, by the way, one of the counsellors at RU.

Don't feel bad about it; its smart idea to take time with these kinds of things. I ended up rushing through to my masters after I got my bachelors and ended up having a rough time for the first year.
I've been working at RU for the last three years now.

How long have you been a social worker?

I realized I'd wanted to be able to help and guide people by the time I'd gotten my bachelors degree. I wanted to be like the counsellor's I'd worked with during college to help me get through, and I'd sort of

Life in college is a difficult transition for many young people, and many have baggage from before entering. I wanted to help guide them through that.

I would be more than glad to stay in contact. Its good to know I'm not the only person addressing this issue. If you ever need assistance with your counseling, feel free to call me, ok?

If its okay, would you mind if I include a link to this post in my own, for non-students who are looking for counseling as well?
