For those of you who don’t know me, which is likely many of you, my name is Katherie Takada. I am a licensed counsellor at Recolle University, and as such this message is directed towards students, both returning and first years, of Recolle University. For most of us with the Recolle App the last month has undeniably been difficult. For those of you on the app who are students at Recolle University, I will be offering one-on-one counseling and guidance for emotional support and any other concerns there may be. Although my current week is at the moment busy with other duties, I will be available for the rest of the semester and onwards. For non-RU students and others who are seeking counseling, I would like to direct you to this post by Fiacre Lachance, who will also be offering counseling for the next few weeks. though i'm sure it means your services are more needed than ever. especially for those college-age and younger. it's difficult enough dealing with all of this as an adult.

[Granted, he's not the most stable adult, but... he still has some sympathy for those who might have it worse than him.]

[It's a little bit of both, really. But he's not that great at putting the right tone into his voice, let alone text.]

no. i had enough of that to last a lifetime when i was younger. [Read: when he didn't have a choice not to go.] after the first forced realization that anything about us or the surroundings could change, there wasn't much that could faze me anymore.

[That's what he tells himself, anyway.]

[ She's not unused to dealing with people who have had rather shitty dealings with psyhcologists and cousnellors, lord knows she had to deal with that crap in high school and her time in juvie and the other stuff she dealt with. Everyone has scars, after all. ]

You never know.
You may just find another try to be much better.

But I won't force you to sign up for anything.
I'll just insist you get help if you feel the need for it.

[ At the end of the day, its ultimately the choice of they individual to seek and accept help. ]
