Hey everyone, Souji (in blue) and Dave (in red) here. I know that some of us don't want to remember the events of last month, especially not so soon, but it's important for us to share what we found or did while it's still fresh in our minds. So, this is a general discussion post for everything that happened in August.

the recolle project is a thing that is like reconstruction rather than reincarnation bringing back stuff thats ours

Essentially, the Recollé Project outlines this stuff as memories, items, and abilities. Rather than regaining things from a past life like reincarnation as Dave said, it's more like regaining things that were buried - to bring them forth to us.

There wasn't much else in the report asides from a map of the city, but the sphinx (it’s a long story but it appeared to have knowledge about the project) confirmed that this was true.

It's clear that Retrospec is going to continue adding new users to their app so Dave and I thought it was best that we created a guide to Retrospec for all the future newcomers (and old users too). We're going to type something up really soon but we wanted to ask what you'd like to see in the guide. Frequently asked questions answered, what we know so far about the Retrospec team, how to change your font into a really cool colour like ours, stuff like that.

One thing I think that's important to share from Team Daquiri is that Retrospec employees apparently have protocols in place that, in normal situations, prevent them from talking to us or really interacting with us in any way. That's according to Maurice, the intern. It seems they're supposed to operate without alerting us to what's going on. Last month was an extraordinary situation where they decided to break the rules, apparently.

Interesting. And why would they have protocols like that in place, I wonder?

That's the question. Why is Retrospec meant to be kept separate from its users?

There's something more to hide, perhaps? Clever that they've also managed to pass off this information in the most peacemeal manner. It'll make compilation... difficult.

I wonder if it was intentional. The employees all seemed to be pretty panicked themselves by what was happening with the unreality twists. It's possible it was all an act, but those monsters could definitely have destroyed the city.

According to them, at any rate. I'm still of the opinion that anything they tell us should be taken with quite a bit of salt.

Given their previous policy of silence, this does seem plausible, at least. Clearly they're at least choosing not to speak with us, whether or not there are actual rules in place.

I agree with that much. They seem perfectly capable of doing so, should they wish it.

Yu, we should talk about what the report said, about the reconstruction part.

The fact that we share the same memories, the same life... if we've all been reconstructed instead of reincarnated, none of this makes sense.

We don't have all the answers just yet so we don't have to jump to any wrong conclusions.

There can still be a reason why we share our memories.

But we have been complaining about them being unwilling to answer our questions thus far. Perhaps this is a very prominent reason why.

Ah, yeah, I heard about that from Kashuu. Maurice told him the same thing.

Although, interesting fact. They still were following some protocols even then. Our Retrospec employee, Cavendish, couldn't talk to us about the Founders until we actually met them, for instance. Because we can't learn things in the "wrong way", whatever that means.

The same seemed to be true of us. Miss Wiseman seemed familiar with the procedures involved in setting up what she called the "Weapons Protocol," and used them to arm us in the fights that happened on the 24th.

"The wrong way" must mean in a way they can't control, but why is it so important that they restrict information like this? What would happen if they didn't?

Maybe it's dangerous. Or, maybe they're all just control freaks, it could be either really.

Baroque (chief of security) said about the same thing, but he also said there's been a change in management recently to make it more open.

"More open" ... I wonder if that decision was made around the time Jim started talking to us on the network.

The directorship of Retrospec (do we even know who that is) changed hands relatively recently. Baroque (who is an old man) remembers the previous one(s) and under the old administration, we'd have never been allowed into the secured places we were, apparently. By implication, even during the crisis they were having.

"More open" are my words, not his. But that's what he was getting at I'm pretty sure.
