Hey everyone, Souji (in blue) and Dave (in red) here. I know that some of us don't want to remember the events of last month, especially not so soon, but it's important for us to share what we found or did while it's still fresh in our minds. So, this is a general discussion post for everything that happened in August.

to that end theres gonna be an in person meeting later on possibly with refreshments

the recolle project is a thing that is like reconstruction rather than reincarnation bringing back stuff thats ours

Essentially, the Recollé Project outlines this stuff as memories, items, and abilities. Rather than regaining things from a past life like reincarnation as Dave said, it's more like regaining things that were buried - to bring them forth to us.

There wasn't much else in the report asides from a map of the city, but the sphinx (it’s a long story but it appeared to have knowledge about the project) confirmed that this was true.

It's clear that Retrospec is going to continue adding new users to their app so Dave and I thought it was best that we created a guide to Retrospec for all the future newcomers (and old users too). We're going to type something up really soon but we wanted to ask what you'd like to see in the guide. Frequently asked questions answered, what we know so far about the Retrospec team, how to change your font into a really cool colour like ours, stuff like that.

Members of our team: Dante Rantanen, Malik Ishtar, Mari Ohara, Freya Yun, Kasen Kaneda, Yuri Plisetsky, Eleanor Lamb, Davey Jacobs, Toushiro Hitsugaya, Ryoji Mochizuki and myself.

FIRST LOCATION: Abandoned mines that had glowing blue crystals (they stop glowing when extracted, I have one with me), there are bones indicative of miners having been killed before they decided to leave. Encountered and killed a pair of mutant rats, and a large yeti that caused tremors. Found our way out by way of Ms. Eleanor's repairing a compass. While waiting for our next objective, an unknown person was able to give us supplies and freshly prepared food on a patio, consisting of gumbo, sandwiches and alligator meat. They knew our names, all eleven were on cards. The back of the food menus had individual, some repeated letters which would reveal themselves to all be letters from/for "Spinnato".

SECOND LOCATION: Swamp. A large estate that was neglected roughly 50 years ago, implied by the graveyard's most recent dates of the deceased. Our next week's location was the mansion, with a note on the door.

The note read:
"Welcome, foolish ones. Would you like to play a game? The only way out is in, though do mind the swamp. - R. Spinnato"

We found the three keys required to enter after exploring, found in the lagoon in a chest with Spinnato family photos, a plant monster in the greenhouse, and in a grave that had to be dug up in the cemetery. Mr. Malik is still holding onto the last one out of some misplaced pride. Some of the shacks in the estate are in better condition than others, the meaning of this is unclear, if they were people that later arrived to try find the manor's riches is one possible theory, but why are their conditions so different? Perhaps they were separate groups.

Before entering the manor, on the 17th I was for some reason telepathically connected with a few individuals, who told me the date, and that in the minds of most citizens we never existed, and monsters were still rampant. One of these was my upperclassman Mimori Togo, the other two were John Egbert and the third is Gallagher Brando neither of whom I’ve met prior.

THIRD LOCATION: A haunted mansion, where in boxes we were supplied 60’s formalwear that matched our sizes. That they were specifically for us is certain, as we again had our names listed on placards. Before we ventured deeper, a voice announced and welcomed us to "a deathday celebration", which I would assume is R. Spinnato, but we ultimately did not encounter him. The cemetery from outside was suspiciously empty, instead all the ghosts seemed to be in the manor. This was the most actively dangerous of our trip. We gathered glowing objects: a whistle, shivering shoe box, party favor, matched spoons, rat token, cufflinks, spider silk, coaster, bath duck, two collars (and the animated stone lions wearing them), toy building blocks and lastly a skeleton key to open the last door. All other items were placed into a deposit box glowing the same color.

Taking the stairs to a shattered observatory, we faced off against a ghost who was the nursemaid of the twin children Wells and Cynthia Spinnato. She poisoned and killed them. What followed in the battle were mostly shrill screams, but first, she accused us of having "tainted blood". This battle with her led to the event that killed Ryoji Mochizuki. After her defeat a hidden passage opened.

We discovered blueprints of the structure of Retrospec as it was first commissioned by C. Vanderwheele; it is much larger than would be anticipated, with countless rooms and being able to shift its architecture. The building we see may simply be an entrance to various parts of where it spreads in the city.

As for how we ended up back in the Recollé, we fell through a void and ended up in the forest.
Studying the blueprints came later, for what are obvious enough reasons.

[When Dante first sees this, there's a chill of discomfort that goes through him, seeing how long and detailed it is. They haven't even discussed all of this as a team since getting back; how much of this is Ritsu going to reveal to the rest of the network...?

But the tension relaxes as he reads, giving way to a long, slow exhalation as he reaches the end of it. Way to go, Ritsu.]

the only other thing to add is that along with the blueprints there was a contract with the building permit and all the t&c for building retrospec hq in recolle. we've got a copy of that too

The blueprints are pretty unbelievable. Maybe they're in there after all, but nowhere we can easily access especially if they can keep track of where we move.

even if they're not inside the building they've got plenty of entrances and exits to choose from, better to assume they come and go by alternate routes to keep us guessing

i'm still not sure how they track us that accurately outside of phone gps, but considering they somehow smuggled a pair of gloves into my bag when i was in the middle of the woods without my phone, they don't need that crutch

This is a really good run down of what happened with your team. No wonder Dante wants to drink my entire whiskey collection.

[Dante wants so badly to respond to this because Fynn, no, this doesn't even scratch the surface of everything that happened in that mansion hell. It leaves out everything that had happened with Toushiro dying and him losing his regains and the circle of stabbings and multiple members of their team getting possessed and turning against each other... this summary that Ritsu's written is the most sanitized version possible; the real reasons he wants to drink so heavily are so much heavier than all of that...

But he isn't going to reveal any of that in public for everybody to see, and by this point enough time has passed that he isn't going to just unload on Fynn, either.

I don't know if he's of legal age or not, but either way please don't allow him to, that can't be healthy.
