[Maggie arrives dressed simply, just her usual purple hoodie which is loosely fitting, though not overly large on her now, a pair of tight fitting jeans, and an aqua blue t-shirt. Her hands are in both of her pockets but she's walking with a confident stride. She locates Shouto easily, approaching him from behind and tapping him on the shoulder.]
[Shouto's dressed in an unseasonably warm sweater, the hoodie pulled up over his head. As he turns towards Maggie, it's obvious that he's wrapped up the left side of his face with bandages to at least attempt to cover up the scar that's there.]
[She says it knowingly and without surprise, yet not without any malice either. It's just a fact of life now that Retrospec does things like this. But even so, while normally she would make some sort of joke about the whole thing, with Shouto, it was different. So she said her words next completely genuinely, lacking anything better to say in the moment.]
[It's always hard to know what to say to things like this. At times like this. It's not like anybody can undo this kind of thing, so it's really just suffering through what "reality" is becoming, whatever it might become.]
"...I think we all are, at this point. But, that doesn't change the fact this is our new reality. And that it's better to know the truth of how abnormal things are then to simply believe that the abnormal is normal."
"Not at all. Think of it this way. That world and this one, they both exist. Or at least, that one existed at one point. This world wasn't formed from our worlds, it's not beneath it. It's not less real than it. But at the same time, this world isn't some sort of higher plane, right? It's not above it. It's not more real."
[She was talking philosophy, again, she realized. So she went to boil it down.]
"These worlds are alternate ones entirely, essentially. Alternate, but ultimately, both real. Or, maybe that's just a lie I'm telling myself to not invalidate my life here."
"Exactly. Without confirmation, we can only choose for ourselves. Though, give me a bit of credit, at least I'm not one of the people who claims this world is somehow more real."

"Hey. So, what happened to you?"

I woke up to an injury. That's all.

"I'm sorry."

... Thanks. Have any makeup tips?

[Damn Retrospect physical changes. But that was what she could do to help him, given that she wasn't exactly a makeup expert herself.]
"Of course, that's assuming you are willing to meet with someone on this."
no subject
... I'd like to meet somebody about it. As long as they don't ask too many questions about it.

[She reaches into her jacket pocket and pulls out her phone, going in and getting the number. She then sends Shouto said number.]
"But, I have to ask... are you feeling okay right now?l
no subject
... Me? ... It doesn't really hurt. The nerve endings are dead.

[Which she still doesn't expect Shouto to answer but, she just wants to confirm he's doing alright.]

[There are so many things that are changing. He misses when things were normal.]

... But that would be nice. I wish we knew for sure.

It's still worrying if I think about it too much.
