That it does. Almost the worst part of all this, really...it would all be at least somewhat more tolerable if there were any kind of rationality at work here, but I have yet to actually find any.
[But ah...]
I'm glad you didn't have to either. That's a very unnecessary thing to inflict on someone, let alone in two different forms. Is there any other adversity apart from the scar's general presence? [He's pretty sure he read something about Shouto's eyesight changing a bit further up the post, actually, but he'd rather hear it direct too...
In the meantime--]
So he's going out now...that's an improvement over a couple of weeks ago, at least. Not surprised to hear there's a significant difference.
Hm. Guess that's also to be expected... [Pouring boiling water on half your face would certainly be a bad time for all those face parts, at any rate, eye included.....which is extremely unfortunate, in this case. Man...] If you don't plan to already, you ought to get it looked at by an optometrist at some point. If you're not averse to contacts or the like it might help with at least partially mitigating your bad sight...
[Anyway, this second bit...is also not terribly surprising. But ah...]
I can't exactly blame him either. It's hardly been very kind to him...I don't think I actually know anyone who particularly likes Retrospec anyhow, for that matter. It's a logical reaction to have.
With the tools and knowledge currently at our disposal there doesn't seem to be any way to reverse things, no. But any fight we're going to have is bound to be rather less physical and more collective, I think...our best bet is figuring out how and why it's all happening.
I don't see why it can't be reversible, actually. Impossible enough for it to happen. Why not render it never having happened either? If that's the kind of logic we're going to have to work with. [Here he is again, trying for logic anyway...but that's just how he is.] It's a matter of knowing how it's happening, though, so until then the best thing to do is pay attention...and try to weather things to the best of our ability, I guess.
It could help. Do you know any optometrists? [Even though poking himself in the eye could be... strange for a while.]
It sounds like Cutter's had a much worse time with the changes. It only figures he'd be frustrated.
That's if it works logically. It might not. It's hard to tell. I haven't heard of anybody undoing changes or being able to get rid of the things they've been getting. Or if they try to throw it away, it just comes back.

How was he holding up?

My left eye's sight is worse. [A lot worse, honestly.]
He hates Retrospec. I can't say I blame him.
I don't know how we're supposed to fight it though.
It's not like we can undo what it's done.

Most people don't like hearing that, though.

It's not comforting, even if it's true.
