Li-Na Yiu shared a video.
10/04 near Viea Village

[The video opens with a shot of a pair of black, shiny ballet flats. But there is a... odd quality to the shine. An almost metallic look to it.]

So... I got these in the mail today. From Retrospec. I guess they belong to the girl I am having memories of?

[Her hand appears in the frame as she picks up one of the shoes and turns it from side to side.]

I am not sure what to think of them? The material is a little... stiff?

[She taps the shoe against the table they are sitting on, which produces a soft metallic sound.]

Well. They are my size.

[Her phone camera bobs as she sets the shoes on the ground and slips her feet inside. A second later, the shoes come to life, WRAPPING their way up her legs until they reach mid-thigh. Though, that detail might get lost, as the moment the shoes... boots start to shift, Li-Na drops her phone and begins to scream.]

[ She puts back in the box and stores them out in the hallway closet, tucked under a bunch of other shoe boxes.

She comes back to Li-Na and wraps her arms around her in a loose hug. ]

That was scary, huh? You don't have to touch them again, if you don't want. It's okay. What you do with the other memories that come to you is your choice. They shouldn't own you.

[Li-Na leans against Chiyo a little]

Not for a little while. Not until I know how they work.

[because... there is a part of her that kind of wants to be able to fight, if something like August happened again]

Update me when that happens? It doesn't have to be me, but if you do try them on again, you should have someone else with you. Okay?

[ They need a Retrospec buddy system or something. ]

[she nods in agreement]

I will. I do not need to repeat today again.

[srsly though. buddy system everything.]

Okay, good!

[ Chiyo does her best to sound chipper since it doesn't do them any good to dwell. ]

Now, what do you say to getting some snacks and watching one of your favorite movies?

[that gets a smile out of Li-Na]

I say, yes. And I know just the movie.
